I feel like a new 360 game. Never got into DOA2 though. I'm not much for the whole panty fest and boob jiggles (well, for a main point of a fighting game ha ha)
Anyone play DOA4 yet and how's the FIGHTING part of it and all that? How's it compare to say, Soul calibur or Tekken?
Well, it depends on how you play it really. If you play it as a button masher then it is a button masher. If you learn the combos and moves of the different characters then it is much more fun.
Can it be beaten easy with just button mashing though? I hate that...
How do you like it? (if you own it)

My biggest problem with DOA4 is that they made the game M when it really didn't have to be.
Remove the bad words in the subtitles, and it would have gotten a T with no problem. Have rated M games sold better on the Xbox?
I haven't seen all of them yet, I'm just a little over half way done, but so far the mermaid scene is the only one I'd call M rated. The rest are no worst than Star Wars EP3.Originally posted by: jlmadyson

Well, I'm not so sure. While I had no problems with the cut scenes my wife made my nephew turn his head on a couple of them. Probably a borderline M imho.

OK, I'll keep my mouth shut until I finish the bottom row of fighers. Jiggly boobs shouldn't make for an M rating though, IMO.Originally posted by: Queasy

Yeah, between the scantily dressed women with the jiggly boobs and a couple of the cutscenes, I'm not suprised that it got an M rating.

Yeah, but that's my point. They could have left the bad language out, and probably gotten a T rating. It didn't really do anything for the game, so why have it?Originally posted by: Queasy

It's not just the jigglies but a combination of the jigglies, the costumes, the cut-scenes, and the language.
Heh....check out some of Christie's costumes. They barely cover any skin at all.

doa4 is nothing more than a button masher. at zero hour, i won a tournament where i went up against a friend of mine who plays doa3 on the regular, and i havent even EVER really played doa games to begin with.
I ended up beating him because I knew how to mash the counters some way quicker than he could perform the moves. if you aren't into button mashers, dont get the game.
atleast just rent it first before you buy it, i'm trying to help you out man

As long as it is taking them to get some of the demos up, you'd probably be better off renting. I'm still waiting on them to put the Full Auto demo up.

when playing, does it have a slight delay between the button pressing and the action on screen? Like by a split second or anything?

Not that I've noticed.
I bet that "feel" is going to be very subjective. It may feel "100% identical" to me, yet not to you.Originally posted by: purbeast0
not even like a SPLIT second? like, does playing against someone on xbox live feel %100 identical to when you play single player against the computer?Originally posted by: Queasy

In other news, I played GUN for a bit yesterday... And while the story (some of the voiceovers may be the best I've ever heard) and gameplay actually seems pretty good, the graphics are absolutely horrible for a 360 game. It truly does look like a PS2 game, except at higher res.
These screenshots tell the whole story:
