talk about service.
Well, I just replaced the battery with a rechargeable one from MS and plugged in the play and charge cable and it's still rotating. Any other ideas? I'm getting a little concerned.Originally posted by: Muadib
I had that happen too once. Turn off the 360, then turn it back on using the controller, and all should be well. It worked for me anyway.Originally posted by: BornStar18
But according to the panel that slides in when you press the Xbox button (or whatever it's called) said I've got 3/4 bars left. What's the deal with that?Originally posted by: Wingznut
That's what I was just going to suggest.Originally posted by: Rage187

Does anyone know what it means when the ring on the controller rotates? I was playing PDZ online and it kept on doing it. It was a little distracting.
I had another problem briefly last night. When I turned the 360 on, I had no picture, but the sound worked. I thought I was screwed, because I knew there was no way anything was loose, but I checked anyway. I was going to turn it off for the night, but decided to power cycle it, and just like that, all was well.
I'm paranoid now though, and plan on running the DOA4 demo for 10 hours of so today. I never registered my 360. Will Microsoft give me grief if I need a repair? You can bet I'll be registering today when I find out what my gf did with the box. She better not have trashed it.
Either that, or what you read is inaccurate. Which is probably likely, since I've never heard a bad story about how MS handles defective products.Originally posted by: TheShiz
funny, i read somewhere that someone who had a controller problem was told by the microsoft rep to take it to wal-mart and exchange it, even though they didn't even buy it at wal-mart. guess the lesson is if you get an answer you don't like from MS customer service, try again til you do.Originally posted by: AdamSnow

Maybe Condemned wasn't for you... But the overwhelming majority really liked it, including the reviewers. Maybe you were just too much of a scaredy-cat to handle it!

Wooh, couldn't see myself dropping $800 on a PS3. I've enjoyed the PS2 but $800 is a stretch for me. On the other hand if this is the only viable solution for Blue Ray as far as cost then it may have some life to it.

Just looked in the manual... it states that a rotating ring means that it's lost temp. connection with the XBOX...
Mine is doing it too... that's why I looked... Havent tried replacing the batteries in mine yet, but I'll see if that does anything... I checked to make sure there was nothing in the way of the unit, but haven't had time to try again...

i mean WTF is a cop doing KILLING homeless/druggy people and why are those same homeless people doign attacking a cop thats looking for dead birds and a serial killer..
i mean common id sooner beleive Quake was real than this garbage..
the story sucked... the atmosphere and AI were lacking.. voice acting and controls were both HORRIBLE. very repetitive never once got into it the way I got into FEAR oR HL2 or even DOOM3 and D3 was a poor game as well.
Actually, CNET may have this wrong... So, take it with a grain of salt.Originally posted by: CNET
Microsoft featured at its booth a hands-on demonstration of SiN Episodes, the episodic sequel to the eight-year-old futuristic PC shooter SiN. The first episode, Emergence, will be available this spring, with additional episodes coming out every few months. Each episode is expected to cost between $15 and $20 and will provide approximately four to six hours of game content. SiN Episodes uses the Source engine with Havok physics, so objects and bodies will fly and fall realistically. The games feature a dynamic difficulty system that Microsoft claims can adapt to gamers' play styles and skill levels. Microsoft is planning to release SiN Episodes on Xbox Live Marketplace as well later this year, for use on the Xbox 360.
