Yea I'm pretty sure I'm getting Far Cry for 360. I am going to trade in Tiger Woods and Kameo I think at Gamestop for it. Then when BF2 comes out I think I'm gonna trade in DOA4 and PGR3 for it.

I was finally able to pick up a Premium console at Target in Golden Valley, MN this morning. I had passed on Cores on a number of occasion, holding out for a Premium. They had a few of each. So far so good - I'm really enjoying it so far.

Oblivion... What a freakin' sweet game!

I logged in to XBL yesterday and had 13 friends online... 11 of them were playing Oblivion, which is definitely not unusual. This game has completely taken over.

also rented Burnout from GF and for the first time ive ever seen when you put the disk into your 360 you get an error that says please put this disk in a 360..

I would think so. They have Live! over in Asia too so...

Just check this Wiki listing for a list of which 360 games are region free.

I've been trying out Oblivion for the last couple of days, and I'm just not sure I can get into it. Why? After having a 3 month stint with WoW last year, and even though I don't play it anymore, Oblivion just seems "empty" to me. Too much woods, too much open space with nothing in it (atleast that's what it feels like early in the game), most everyone just stands around at the moment except the guards (what happened to the radiant A.I.?). I've only played it so far as to be fighting within the first Oblivion gate, but that's it.

I feel the fighting to be way too clunky, the controls do not feel "tight". Like I said before, I've only put an hour + into it, so some of my concerns may be unwarranted.

The biggest thing Oblivion has done for me so far? It's made me want to sign up again for WoW and continue my level 25 character that I had going.

I'll be curious how the reviews come out. I am kinda ambivalent about the FC franchise - the games LOOK great, but the AI is alternately impressive and ultra-annoying, and to some extent I haven't found the games a whole lot of fun to play.

The game starts off peaceful and serene.. dont do the story missions so soon.. go play it like a sandbox game..
join guilds.. steal stuff.. kill people for no reason... stuff like that..
things will happen and yes the NPCs are radiant.. they do work on schedules and move.. Ive got over 40+ hours into it and still have only done 1 main story mission..
there are literally 1000s of quests to do.. and 100s of dungeons out there.

things arnt just out in the open like WoW.. or EQ... things are hidden in dunegons and caves etc.. you will see deer and other wildlife but they are not what you should be looking for..

bandits.. vampires..Deadra.. evil NPCs in general etc..
there is enough to keep even a WoW addict going for 200+ hours...

Yah I even have 50 gamerpoints from it if you don't believe me, go check out purbeast on live.xbox.com .

It's just not my type of game. I haven't liked RPG's since SNES days, and this just continues my feeling.

Argh I've been waitinig for this game to be delivered for about a week now. My fiancee ordered it for me as an Xmas gift before they delayed it. They shipped it out last Monday supposedley. I hope it comes today. At least I've been feeding my WoW addiction in the meantime. I haven't turned on my 360 in a week and a half.
