After a lackluster FY2005, the publisher lowers Q1 guidance on Top Spin 2 and College Hoops 2K6 postponements, predicts late PS3 start.
....
Another reason Take-Two won't make its previous Q1 FY2006 guidance is today's revelation that two major 2K Sports titles, Top Spin 2 (Xbox 360, DS, and Game Boy Advance) and College Hoops 2K6 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 2), have been pushed back from their January 2006 release dates. The official reason given for the delays was to "provide additional development time."
In keeping with that position, Toshiba at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Wednesday said it would offer the first high-definition players in March, priced at $799 and $499.
Those prices are below what a member of the rival camp, known as Blu-ray and led by Sony Corp. (SNE), is asking. Blu-ray member Pioneer said it planned to offer a Blu-ray player in May, priced at $1,800.

If Blue Ray is $1,800 in May and Sony plans a spring release of the PS3 (Japan possibly fall for US from what I'm reading) there is really no sense in buying a stand alone player if Sony plans for a $300-500 PS3 price range (as rumor has it). I've heard that Blue Ray is going to cost more to manufacturer but certainly one wouldn't think a 1000 dollar difference.
Edit: The Rep states it is for an elite model but I'm wondering what the difference is for the $799 HD-DVD and $1800 Blue Ray player. Reading the average joe players will still be at about 1k.

Well I went and got DOA4 today, was on sale @ Fry's... saved $10. I've never had four games for a system so soon in its release. (Four if you exclude the 3 Original Xbox games that I bought because I have a 360)

Is there an online advertisement for this?
I am also wondering ... does Best Buy do price match if you use proof from a store that have no B&M stores near you? Because there are no Fry's near me, but I have a $50 gift card to best buy, and If I can get DOA4 for $50, I think I would use those there. It's not a must have for me at all, but I wouldn't mind playing it on live.

Do a google search for Fry's advertisements and you'll probably find it.
I don't think BB will pricematch if there isn't a store near you but if you want to try, try with a female associate. In my experience, it is the guys that will shoot your pricematches down.

I'm using the VGA cable for my 360 on a Dell 2005FPW monitor and it looks awesome. I couldn't ask for a better picture.....well I could, but that would require me to put down 2200 bucks on the new 3007FPW

you try clicking on the item itself. it'll bring up a clearer picture.
The whole cooling issues have been very much blown out of proportion. If your 360 doesn't work while sitting on your shelf (without additional help), then it is defective. The fact of the matter is that the overwhelming majority work as designed.Originally posted by: herkulease
anyone go any more info on that
liquid cooled 360 product from coolit technologies?
they said they'll have it on display at CES but I haven't seen any updates than some pics released a week ago.
only cooling device at CES I've seen is the Nyko intercooler for 20 bucks.
