The middle buttons and the handles look slightly like Sony, but the whole thing is round which differs from Sony's straight design.

The controller looks like it'll hurt.. Kinda like the Sidewinder but bigger and fatter like the DC controller.

looks like a DC controller, but with an extra stick on the right side and with the D-pad and left stick backwards. i'll bet theres a ms sidewinder controller like it at best buy right now.

Looks sweet. I think I'll be getting used to that controller. People with bigger hands need a bigger controller. That looks perfect to me.

Has anyone here ever owned the Capcom Soldier Pad?

That was the hands-down best controller I ever used.

The d-pad was extremely responsive, nearly tactile.

The layout of buttons was superb, especially if you liked
the overhand approach to handling the buttons.

There should be more pads with the 3 on 3 layout...
Works so well for 3 strength punch/kick or even free/block, punch, kick.
Heck it even worked for Mortal Kombat's screwy hp, block, hk on top, lp, run, lk on bottom.

The only thing wrong with the pad? The buttons were domed instead dipping and curving inward.

Wish I had a stock of them, I'd be spending my days modding these for every new console

I hate analog thingies. Even the cool looking ones on the PS Dual Shocks.
Don't even get me started about the analog semi-joysticks on the DC and N64 controllers...ack.

Damn! The controllers look like they were made for ALL show and no go!I hate the joystick how it is so high up like on the DC and that big round ball in the middle is really annoying plus the buttons have plastic letters that are higher than the button which are going to be annoying...

Yeah, what the sh!t is that big button in the middle for? There's already a start and select button underneath. Heck that ain't even a screen so you can't display info like the Dreamcast memory cards. Total waste of space. The controller looks a little too big and round. That thing's gonna slip out of my hands during some hardcore level, and I'll lose the game because of that...

On a design note, I like how they tied the controller and the console together with the huge green thing in the middle of each. Now if they could just reduce the size of it on the controller... it's be a whole lot better.

Looks like a disappointment to me. This design sucks. I thought they were going to have metallice looking or something. Probably they're trying to get the price down.

That metalic thing was just the demo. And if you don't like the design on f the controller... wait for companies like interact to make a controller for the x-box.

The controller look like a dreamcast controller with the 2 n64 pads to the left and the right analog pad from the playstation on the right. come on.

Looks like M$ decided to go the smart route and pulled a Sony...they ripped of the GameCube controller.

The system looks crappy and I can't see myself telling my parents to get me an X-Box for my Birthday. If Halo is as good as promised I think it may be all worth it given a good price.

Looks to me like they TRIED to grab the best respects from the DC, PS2 and GC controllers. Like a hybrid of all 3! I DON'T like that Sidewinder D-PAD that's for sure... but I'll reserve judgment until I can fit my mits on it and play some games. Overall, I'm slightly dissapointed with the controller.

The console on the other hand looks really REALLY nice. I can see it right on top of my DVD player now. Will look great with my entertainment center fo' sho'!

I think most of you are jumping in to conclusions (as usual). I'll wait till I try playing a game with that controller.

That thing is sweeter than a sugar coated donnut filled will sweet jam!!! That thing has got to rock!!! Then again they are new to this games console stuff so they might run into some trouble maybe... Then again they have been making games and stuff for a while and they are big so they should know what they are doing. Thing is the black colour has already been taken by the PS2... WHy don't they change it some other colour, something exotic like say... White or beize to match the standard colour for most computers, apart from the ones you get yourself...
