That's too optimistic. The American league record for runs in a season is 1,067. To break that over 162 games that's 6.5+ per game. If the Yanks stay healthy and the big guys like A-Rod and Giambi have good years that's VERY doable for this lineup.

I based my prediction on last night's game.

He makes the same type of assinine posts in regards to the Patriots.

I tried to argue with him a couple of times, but I quickly learned it was easier to just ignore him.

He's hardly original. EVERY Red Sux fan wants to end the season today. That's their only chance of winning the division, a 1 game season. After 162 games the cream rises to the top and even the most die hard Boston fans understand that means the Sox will be back in 2nd or 3rd where they belong.

As long as NY is right down there with them, everything will become right in the world again.

It's a good thing the Yankees have a good lineup with that pitching rotation of theirs. They'll need to post scores like yesterdays to make the playoffs.

I would worry just as much about your own..

Schilling had 1 good start...Keith Joke...Wells...

My god, here I go again arguing with this non-sensical douchebag.

Keith Foulke is in the rotation? O rly? Schilling, Beckett and Wakefield are proven starters. Clement had a bad 2nd half last season, but he has the ability to rebound. Wells seems to get better with age. I'll take that rotation over the what the Yankees have anyday, so DIAF you clown.

I have no idea what the Yankees see in Proctor. The guy sucks, he has never thrown an impressive pitch or gotten a big out that I can remember. Yankees lose. Good game though.

Well, seems like the Yankees problems of last year are continuing this year (so far). They can't buy a clutch hit.

It's all so simple, really. My Yankees, once again, will fail due to a lack of starting pitching. Their staff consists of a bunch of over the hill has beens, and injury prone china dolls. Until they find that flame throwing kid from their farm system, they aren't winning their 177th World Series. It's all so simple, really.

PS: they still have enough to win the Division. Eat my dust, Boston.

My wife came out of the womb waving a yankee penant. Too bad my A's had to take 2 of 3.

Just imagine the Yankee's offense with Oakland's bullpen. Now that would be pain and suffering all season long for opponents.

I predict the game will be unwatchable by the 4th inning. I say it'll be 15 - 0 Yanks.

edit: Guess I was wrong..those garbage Royals scored a run. OK.. 15 - 1!

Did you see the pitch Giambi hit? I disagree with the YES crew, that was a real good pitch IMO. He hit it from his ankles.

I think the only thing going for him is that he is one of the handful of Yankees that is not making $30 billion a year.

Get well soon, Bob Sheppard.

Edited: Damn, quoted the wrong line. Meant to quote about Scott Proctor.

WTF.. my prediction was way off. Those crapola Royals are actually being competitive.

Reggie Sanders still has a great bat for his age and should make a great DH for years if he ever chose to go that route.
