I had them in my cart earlier, but the tax and the shipping made them cold for me. Last month I bought similar system with p4 for the same price + free shipping, but that was last month. Price is not too bad at all though.

If I knew you would drop them, I would have kept trying.

Is it just me, or is the Outlet's process of putting systems in the cart is *extremely* slow?

You are right, the add To Cart process is very slow if you are looking for the cheapest price, its OK otherwise.

Do you mean around the drop time, or specifically on low-priced systems? The latter would be too weird.

On low priced systems mainly. I guess too many people try to get a lock on the database at the same time.

I would consider it a pretty good deal.
Sorry can't help with the script, I have moved away from the script and now using c# web browser control.
Regarding, missing the good systems I have missed a ton. Just keep on trying.

I just grabbed this after a lot of effort though:
Dell 4600 (Dent and Scratched) P4 2.66G, 256 MB, 80G, CDRW+DVD for $120.00 with shipping and tax.

I have a 20% coupon but coupon applies to the price before discount. Not too useful for most of the systems but OK for some.

This is the part that does not make sense to me. If there is a lot of load on a database, it should affect all records (PCs) in the database equally. I think...

Not really. Lets see if can explain it. Each PC is a record (a row in the database). Most people are looking for the cheapest PC, they see a system and hit the add_to_Cart button almost at the same time (may be difference of few milli or micro seconds). The Dell database must lock the record for this particular PC before it sends the message that system has been added to the cart. Deciding who gets the PC i.e. to break the tie takes some time since a lot of requests come literally at the same time.

OK, it makes sense. I guess I can buy that... Unlike those cheap systems which I can't...

I didn't. Flashed by me in the Outlet inventory at the drop, but I could not put it in the cart fast enough.

I guess some people's scripts are still working.

Its been going on since last week. I usually have to wait few hours before I can load the page. My guess is that Dell has limited the number of session cookies it assigns, so you might have to wait until someones session expires.
