I used to think there was no such thing as "undecided" when it came to elections. I thought yeaaaah right! You know exactly who you are going to vote for when the day comes.

I literally can't imagine who I'm going to vote for. Right now I'm leaning towards voting for libertarian...but it's not exactly my prime candidate there. There is no way I'm voting for Hillary though...and I voted Obama twice.

So I'm either not voting...voting for Trump or voting for Johnson

I wonder how high the % is of actual undecided this year? I bet it's at an all time high.

Mind if I ask what thing(s) in particular you like/dislike the Libertarian candidate? Saying they'd normally not be your preferred candidate is understood if you're someone who would normally vote (D) but I'm honestly curious where the deltas pro and con are to someone like you in 2016 since I'm guessing there's many quite like you. Here's his "on the issues" listing if that helps.

How do you go from voting for Obama to even consider voting for Trump? Is it some desire to see the whole system burn, and Trump is your match? Do you actually live in this country? It might be amusing to watch a Trump presidency from afar, akin to the Brexit vote, but not if you actually live here in the US. The thought of a Trump presidency keeps me up at night.

I am probably just going to vote Vermin Supreme. (note, I do not mean Hillary or Trump, I mean the guy who is running under the name of Vermin Supreme. I agree that both Hillary and Trump are in fact vermin.)

EDIT:
Maybe the novel "Seeing" might be relevant...

I voted for Johnson in 2012, and myself + the other 5.4 people who voted for him were not exactly shocked when he did not win.

I was originally going to vote for Ron Paul, but then I read a few things about him that were.....weird. Id say if youre not planning on voting cast a vote for Gary anyway, theres a 0% chance hes going to actually win, and he is entirely better than Hillary/Trump.

Trump and Johnson are worlds apart on the issues so I don't quite get your indecision. There is nothing libertarian or even small government about Trump.

so your current choices are:

--be a wuss
--vote for fascism in the US
--vote for a future chance of diverse political representation

This does not sound complicated

Not the same stakes. Nukes and economic strife have world-wide range.

I pulled a "watch the world burn" by voting for Rob Ford in my local city election. Even with his very neuter-able powers it was a colossal mistake.

It's tempting to send career politicians a message by voting for the ultimate outsider, but it turns out the only thing worse than politicians in power is non-politicians in power. It actually does take a professional.

I think Hillary hate is the guiding principle. Don't expect anything that follows to be rational.

It really is astounding that the mostly cooked up fears about how corrupt and dangerous Hillary Clinton is blinds them to the extreme perils presented by the demagogue atop their very own party. You dont have to use your imagination to prove how dangerous Trump is, you merely have to listen to the words coming out of his own mouth. He's a bull in a china shop, and the China shop is our country.

Yup, it is really tough to think about voting for either Clinton or Trump... The problem is for the most part a vote for the libertarian party is one less vote for reps... On the other side a vote for the green is really a vote less for dems... So if you vote 3rd party, it almost always hurts the closest side to your ideology. A good example of that is in 2000. RAlph Nader got nearly 3% of the vote. Those people that voted Nader would much rather Gore won over Bush, but they are literally the ones that lost it for him.

Clearly, to a lot of you, elections are simply popularity contests because it's obviously not about policies.

What's your reason against Hillary? (please respectfully no one else respond, I am only interested in OP's reason)
