Hi,
This may be an obscure issue which is why I'm posting it here. I have an Asus P8Z77-V Dlx motherboard and an i5-3570K CPU.
I got it to a nice 4.4Ghz O/C and then figured out how to use Offset so that it only cranks up to 4.4 when I need it to. It has been working for about 1.5 years, solid as a rock.
Recently, I uninstalled Asus's AI Suite II. I forgot that I had it installed until I uninstalled some software that was managing start-up programs. Then I got several start-up UAC messages about AI Suite programs that wanted to run. (I had suppressed them more than a year ago.) Rather than suppress them again, I just uninstalled AI Suite II because I never use it.
However, now my multiplier is stuck at 44 even though Offset is still enabled in the BIOS. I didn't use AI Suite to do the O/C, but it seems that AI Suite changed something in the BIOS on its way out.
Has anyone seen this before?
