Too bad. I always liked the premise of the OGR contest, but the lack of status updates finally made me stop. It appears that was a wise decision.

<sarcasm>Great.</sarcasm> I'm still steadily (sp) churning out stubs, but with this kind of status report, it sure makes me want to turn the remaining clients off. And to think I was considering firing up a bunch of machines and get my daily stats up to 8 - 10 T per day.

I began counting OGR-25 just after RC5 project had finished - almost two weeks have already passed.
As the news seem to be too disappointing, to what DC project should I pay attention in this case now?
ECCp? UD?
Any suggestions?

I run the ECCp-109 project and if you're interested in a simple, low-bandwidth DC project this is the one.

If you have no bandwidth problem why not try something in the region of TSC or Distributed Folding?

Two distinguished points have already been done.
First impression of the client is good. Somehow I like minimalistic software. )

Ok, I figured there was some issue that was broken in the OGR client, but I kept hoping it wasn't true...

Now, I have confirmation and since fixing it isn't even a priority (RC5-72 is), I'm killing clients today and starting up SETI again. When DNet gets the client fixed, I'll reevaluate. Until then, only my remote cows will keep crunching OGR (mainly because I can't get to them easily).

Yea, I like ECCp as well, not only because the WUs are small, and do not have to be downloaded - only uploaded. The software also has a very small memory footprint, which is nice when one only has 256MB of RAM. Folding@Home + Foldmonitor just take up too much RAM for my taste, and SETI consumes a fair amount as well. Dist.Folding can be rather light, but to work optimally you need at least 512MB (for it and your OS and other stuff).
BTW, Kirillov, have you checked out the enhanced clients? They are prettier, a good bit faster, and have more options. You can get them from this statsaholic site, but I don't have a direct link right now. I'd suggest that you go into one of the ECCp stats threads by that MereMortal guy, and check the links in his .sig.
