It was a harmless attempt at humor, if Paige wants it edited I will. I think she probably knows me better than either of you do so she can probably at least admit it was harmless (even if she didn't see the humor).
The rest of you can take a flying leap.

People should know better than to rob and kill people too
If the kids were like 15 or 16, it would have been different. But 10?? That's way overboard. I don't care who you are.

Regardless - that was plain wrong.
Do us a favor and ban your self for a week.
If anyone else said something like that, they would be banned.
You could have at least apologized. :disgust:

I hope you get the horse, though isn't 15.5 a bit long in the tooth <--read that somewhere...
My mother has a 3 year old stallion that she's having trained right now and hopefully my girls 7,3.5,1 will be riding when they're your sisters age.
The end of my current ten year plan is to own a hobby farm, maybe I'll keep a horse or two

I hope that it works out for you. Mir and Li would love it!
It's amazing how quickly they grow at their age. They look so different from those pictures now as they grow out of that "all knees and elbows" phase. Gotta love the two of them. They're such cool people.

15 is just about right for a horse kids can use and still get a lot of use out of. Horses live anywhere from 25-35 years, so a 15 year old horse is kinda like a 35 year old human. 15 in good health is perfect - calm enough for kids, enough get-go for adults.
Three year old stallion? I don't know that I would put kids up on a stallion, generally. They tend to be much more tempermental and demanding than a gelding or mare. Not that mares aren't bitchy too (just like all women! )

Of course I'm not certain how this works having been raised a suburban child of country parents, but I imagine my Mother will have him gelded... It's her horse, I'm just an interested observer
Her main concern is dairy goats, the stallion was got in trade at some point along the way, he spent a year or so as lord of the pasture and now she's trying to get him shaped up... I've never ridden but would love to some day if it all works out.
I think it's really wonderful that you and your sisters have had the opportunity for such a diverse experience, I hope to provide that to my girls.

HotChic,
Your sisters don't happen to have identical Big Wheel tricycles do they? Do they walk side by side down hallways?

Nope and nope. They don't dress, talk, think or act alike either.

That's good. I'd be very wary if they did.
