If it is fake as IGN reports then Nintendo should take notes.

Picture of what I'm talking about. So the top part is the backwards compatibilty with gamecube, but what's the unknown console (it looks small too like 3 dvd cases big maybe)? Perhaps this video is just part of the revolution and not the main game console.

What i think the console with ? is any other console. Its just my guess but i think u will be able to connect other consoles to this and play games in virtual rwality.

A new fan-made Revolution video has Nintendo fans marveling at the possibilities. Must see.
by Matt Casamassina

May 13, 2005 - The six-plus minute video appeared on various message boards this afternoon and ever since Nintendo fans everywhere have been fighting to download it. The render, created by an unknown (and very talented) artist or artists, mocks-up what some Nintendo fans would call their dream scenario: a Nintendo Revolution that is so far ahead of the curve that it truly revolutionizes the way people play games. In this case, the console is no longer a console, but a virtual reality headset.

The video is not real, but some fans probably wish it were.

IGN has included the video in downloadable form. Readers are free to check it out. While it's unlikely that the render is at all an indication of the final system, which Nintendo plans to talk about and showcase at E3 2005, it's an impressive design feat nevertheless.

hah i cant find this on IGN..could u give me a link please..i suck at google apparently

Well it is a cool concept, and a slick video. Whoever made it at least deserves credit for it.

VR headset has been done before, and it wouldnt be THAT hard to determine how much closer to the box you got... which all it requires you to do is STEP forward.

Nintendo has said that the Revolution would have a special display system with it.

Um, take that train of thought and expand it a little. If the game requirse you to run, how are you going to do it?

Well actually the video depicted that as taking a single step closer to the console, apparently be means of simply detecting a change in distance. quite a few good ideas in there that are plausible.

You never know. If someone told you there was going to be a game console with a triple 3.2ghz core cpu, hd-dvd capability, built-in wifi, and watercooling how much do you think it'd cost?

I know there's a huge price difference in everyday computer components and motion-tracking, virtual reality equipment.

I should add that I have been seriously thinking about an Xbox 360 and will buy it once it comes out, however, if the Nintendo Revolution and Xbox 360 are released on the same day, I'll get the Nintendo Revolution. Its my gut instinct and I hope its right. Wasting money definately blows. Good luck Nintendo and Microsoft, don't let me down.

Maybe some of the specs on the Xbox 360 are overblown, but ATI's next generation technology will appear in it.

So what were they on the edge with when it came to the N64 and Gamecube?

I remember reading the book Game Over back like 10 yrs ago, which explained their success (and some of their practices on what got them so successfully... they were successful due to strong arming tactics on the developers than due to any technological or innovative success)... and why so many developers bailed on them when they could.

Its gonna fail, just like the virtual boy did. Watch. I like nintendo and all, but the PS3 and new Xbox are gonna mop the floor with this gimmick. This is gonna cost nintendo the console market and they are gonna have to stick the handheld systems.

Why would u jump on whatever comes first? if you had had that philosphy back in the day you would be left with a dreamcast and no more games made for you
