Ok, to preface, we are an office of roughly 40 people. We have our little cliques like every other office and things work fine. One of my coworkers, and a good friend at work, sits next to a girl (not very attractive, but that doesn't matter). When he first started he asked her out, she said no, and that was that. However, he often teases her about it and asks her again (with a massive sarcastic smile on his face) she laughs, he laughs, our god damn bosses laugh.

Fast forward to Monday of this week and apparently he did something completely unrelated to piss her off, so to "get even" she reports him for anything he's ever done. He gets in trouble, written up, etc. Now it's Friday, and all week he has been super quiet and secluded. He used to bring humor to our office in more ways than one and now it's like his personality was literally killed.

Stupid bitch.

It is his own fault for leaving himself vulnerable. Meet girls at bars and through work friends, do not pick up on your co workers.

As far as I know, after she told him no the first time he "got over" her. All of the subsequent times he asked her were just to be silly, and EVERYONE knew it.

Never trust women?

1. Never ask a co-worker out
2. If you do and are rejected, DON'T TEASE THE CO-WORKER ABOUT IT!!

What exactly did he "trust" her to do? Endure relentless teasing so that he can feel better about his inadequacies and embarrassment?

What did he actually say or do to piss her off this time? Obviously, it couldn't have been a joke if she had been willing to joke about it til now.

We're only getting 1 side of the story here. No one can say how the girl really felt about being teased about it.

I believe they were talking about something stupid to do with politics. Their views differed, she took the immature way out.

And her also.

There is a saying NO means NO.

If either side thinks otherwise, they are setting themselves up for a serious problem.

We're only getting one side of the story here. My guess is that she felt uncomfortable about the whole thing from the beginning, she played along initially thinking that he would let it go and finally she lost her patience. I'm not justifying what she did, but his behavior sounds pretty juvenile from the description.

She laughed about it with everyone. The two went to lunch together frequently. They talked all the time. They hung out outside of work.

I think that looks like a pretty solid friendship. Apparently she takes her politics seriously... Or she was on the rag.
