Anyway, I'm hooked in with Cox Communications out of Southern Arizona. (I forgot who was asking).

During peak hours though I still get over 4 Mbps consistantly. And in response to diskop's post from earlier today (this is the first I've checked back on this thread since this morning). The fastest I've ever realistically downloaded from a site is right around 300KB/sec sustained with bursts of around 700KB/sec from a fileplanet server in LA.

Back when Sprint ION was still in business I had their DSL service.

8.0/1.0 mbps. Frikkin amazing! Two static IP's, local phone, and 600 long distance minutes, for $99 a month. I would constantly see 500-600KBps downloads and about 70KBps uploads. Ping would be sub-30 most of the time. Lowest I ever saw was 13. But the server was located just a few miles away. I loved that service, I was sooo pissed when they shut it down. Now i'm stuck on SwBell DSL 1.5/128. But I am not complaining, MUCH better then dialup.
