PC Club sucks. There's one across from my univ (Wright State University). Only good thing they had in this clearance sale was a 7-in-1 card reader for $9. Snatched that bad boy up.

I used to go to WSU, going to Sinclair now. The only thing I've ever bought at the PC Club across the way from WSU was a FAR 802.11b usb adapter. IIRC, most of their stuff is usually more expensive than most of us ATers would be willing to pay.

Other than that visit, never been there any other time. Might as well just go another mile to fairfield and pick up something from OM

PC Club rocks, not everyone wants to order all their computer sh!t off Newegg. Sure, Newegg will be cheaper on almost everything. But I love being able to walk into the PC Club that's 2 blocks from my house, buy something and take it home right away. They have good prices for a B&M store, and their return policy is great.

Actually, none of the PC component stores in the Dayton area are particularly good as far as price or selection. As far as PC Club goes, the Miamisburg store is far better than the Beavercreek location. I used "far" three times. Time for bed, I think. Far out.

I think I stopped in at a PC Club store in Dayton, OH last fall and was mildly impressed with the selection they had for a mid sized bm pc only store. Prices on their cases and selection was nice too. Wouldn't mind stopping there again.

I know their prices are above newegg but I still support local business if they come within 10%.

I really like the return policy. They take it back if it is less than 7 days.

I always buy cases there and they have good sale frequently. I send the less hardware literate people there in our town because their prices beat all the local competition and they offer good service.

I have spent over $30,000 there over the last 6 years. Newegg did not take my schools PO's when I was technology coordinator.

I will have to visit my local store more often, I forget to check their specials.

I always buy their router for 9.99 AR to help friends out that get DSL or Cable. (good cheap firewall)

the one accross the WSU seems to have a worse selection than the one at Miamisburg, for some reason.

No matter what, it's great to have a store nearby that carries a good selection of parts. Even if they are a few bucks more than the egg... you can get the parts TODAY. It's great for situations where time is an issue. They've saved my butt many times.

Don't get me wrong, I will buy from the local stores, and have many, many times (even worked sales and tech for some of them). I purchased the guts for my latest gaming rig at the Miamisburg PC Club last Wednesday. I was told by the sales person after commenting on the new layout of the store that each stores manager has input on what product the store carries and how it is displayed. This particular salesperson was knowledgeable and friendly. I'll seek him out again when I do a round of upgrades on my LAN group's PCs before BF2 is available.

Yeah, Newegg has great prices but when I want something, I don't like to wait for it to be shipped. There has to be a large price discrepancy before I'll order from Newegg. I'll probably buy my Antec P160 at CompUSA. Newegg's price after shipping isn't worth the wait.
