This this car a BMW M3 by any chance?
If so, screw the service light and get the new iPhone. A person of your status can't be seen carrying around a three year old cell phone!
GM must have upped their requirements again.$600 oil change? Did monster cable start making oil?
My decision may hinge on the answer to this question: Does apple require an appointment to purchase a phone or can I be in and out in 5 minutes?

The apple store is usually not a slow process for an iPhone...less than an oil change for sure.
My store knows me know so I can just grab it and run. Usually they want to unbox, help you transfer your old phone over, activate and orientate you.
It's a great service and free if you need it.
change the oil yourself. will cost you less than $10! GET THE PHONE!

So I called the apple store around 10:50 to verify the phone was in stock, the price, and that the line wasn't long.
I show up at 11:50ish and there were like 50 people in line so I left.
Long story short, I got neither tasks accomplished.
I did use my odbii device and dashcommand to read the code my car is throwing: P0455

My check engine light has been on for a loose gas cap for the past 50,000 miles. Every once it a while, it'll go out for days or weeks. Then, it'll come back on. I'll get the code read & gas cap again.Sounds like the infamous "loose gas cap" warning to me. Can you reset it with the Torque app, or whatever the iOS equivalent is?
Apple apps have user friendly names. Torque is too technical. Its called iCap. Best app out there for this purpose. That too for only $2.99Sounds like the infamous "loose gas cap" warning to me. Can you reset it with the Torque app, or whatever the iOS equivalent is?
