Wow I'm out of the loop! I didn't even realize that RIMM4200 was even being sold right now ... it makes me wonder why anyone cares about PC1066 if RIMM4200 is out (I guess it costs mucho $$$)

Cool cool cool! Don't go nuts on the voltage though... also, I hear 512MB PC4200 is not out yet. Are you going to stick another 256MB stick in your last slot? Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I have not had any issues to date with the board. There are some layout issues that were un-Asus like but both of my boards have been very stable. The board and current memory overclocks very well.

Wow! What do your 3dmark scores look like? Also, how much vcore does it take to get that to 2.8GHz?

I have been looping 3Dmark for testing along with Seti/Prime95 to settle in on a everyday stable fsb (162~164 right now). This setup has no issues running Sandra at 168fsb and will go into XP at 172 for a few minutes. I will benchmark test the boards with my Ti4600s once I get time this week. The board with the 2.26 is at 1.575, my 2.4b needs 1.6 to be absolutly stable.

Well, was wondering if anyone else here had one up and running.........................Mine has now been up about 28hrs. and I have to say, I am impressed. As of now, this is the fastest P4 setup you can buy IMHO....................here's what I'm running................

Antec 1040

True Blue 400W

P4T533

1G PC4200 RDRAM

P4 2.53b

PNY Ti4600

2X WD 100GB JB's

Santa Crz

40X Lite On CDRW

56X CD-ROM

Etc., Etc.

If you've got the $$$ and don't mind letting go of it..................and want the fastest P4 solution right now.....................there ya' go! I'm going to tweak the hell out of it, see how far I can O/C it.............................and then probably do like I always do................keep it until I find a buyer and buy something newer and faster...............

Holy Lord! the bandwidth is a shocker.

But the oc is not very impressive. I have my 2.26 aircooled with the Intel stock HSF running at 3020MHz, stable for benchmarks on the BD7-II.

At tbreak, one member has his PT4533 running at 183 Fbs, of course in 3x, and probably with the voltage at full throttle.

How far can take your sample?

Hi,

That same CPU will do 3.026 on my Abit IT7. I am at the very edge of the memory capability with this system at 168fsb (x4). I will take my 166fsb (x4) performance over any of the 180 range (x3) performance. My setup will run at 178fsb (x3) but the benchmark scores are up to 8% lower. I figure you need to be in the 190fsb (x3) range to match the 166fsb (x4). At 166fsb I am running the cpu at 1.575 with the stock Intel HSF and AS3. I have to use 1.625 on the IT7, anything higher does not produce better results. While the CPU benchmark might not seem impressive the overall system performance/stability is impressive.

the problem is that currently ONLY this one board is available for RIMM 4200, and this memory is still difficult to get.

ToBeMe,
I would like to know where you were able to get 512mb R-4200 modules also. We have a few engineering samples for trace layout/validation testing but Samsung was telling us September on general production. I would love to have two 512mb modules on this board. How far did you get your 2.53? I only got mine to 2.9, bum cpu compared to the latest batches.

Well I recieved the P4T533 as well "BUT" I didn't get any memory with it.

I have it all set up and all I'm missing is the RIMMs..

I can't find the memory anywhere, everywhere I call tell me same thing "The memory for this motherbard will not be available for another 4 to 6 weeks, and will take a few more weeks after that to get them since they are backordered to hell!"

So looks like my new system is a big expensive paper weight, for about 2 months. =(

When I ordered the P4T533, I was under the impression that I would be able to put in the older 16bit PC800 RIMMs untill I get the new 32bit PC1066 RIMMs, but they do not fit on the board. I was also hoping the rumer was true about getting a 256 RIMM stick with the motherboard.

Anyway I'm gonna go call a few more places to see if I can get something that will work on this board.

Also if anyone in Canada knows where I can pick up a stick, please let me know.

Thanks

Teril

Bingo 13 has his P4 2.2 at the P4T533 at 178 x 17 = 3020 MHz. I know another person who has his P4 1.8 at 183 Mhz, of course with the reduced RAM timing (x3 instead of x4).

I finally found the Japanese company which is modifing the P4T533 (and other boards) so that you get voltage adjustemt for RIMM modules.
