Before you buy a plan, check what it really offers in writing, not just what the sales guy tells you.

Some of the store plans make you send in the 360 for repairs, you don't get an instant replacement.

Product Replacement Plan gets you a replacement, Performance Service Plan gets you a repair. Get the replacement plan if anything.

My perfectly fine Xbox 360 Pro froze couple of times only after few hours into the game, then got the RRoD. Yes, it could be just a coincidence, but what's interesting is that I'm not the only one. Some have had their PS3's do the same thing, only it flashes a yellow light I hear.

Now I'm not sure what to do. My box is going on a holiday "for two to three weeks" according to MS. First I thought this would be a perfect excuse to get the PS3 so I would have both, but then I hear the problem might be even bigger on it. And I can't just get another Xbox because there's a chance it'll die too. This seriously shucks.

Yeah if you buy just for that game get a 360 if you get an added bonus of your friends having 360s too. If you are like me and have friends who will buy the PS3 for MGS4, GT5 and Forces Unleased ( ok so thats not exclusive but these 3 are the main driving force to purchase a new console ) then the PS3 is a clear winner all around.

360 has better game library today, although that is debatable on taste. Not all 360 games are good, some are utter shit to me. But its definitely bigger, therefore more selection for personal tastes to be satisfied.

360 also has good online support. Albeit at a cost. That said, I can play CoD 4 on my PS3 just fine =)
