OK, I Screwed up by buying a Radeon video card

I get many new problems upgrading catalyst graphics card drivers, while a lot of my old problems are fixed. I don't even think ATI even beta tests their drivers. Have anyone ever used a "beta" ati driver before? ATI always gets new drivers out in a very short period of time, and are usually filled with a bunch of bugs(don't even argue with me here, I see people in drivers threads all the time bitchin about how bad the new drivers are). ATI needs some quality control in the driver team.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think NVIDIA does either. The "pre-release" versions are just leaked.

I don't know, I've been using ATI cards for years now, and I have had ONE driver problem, and it was a documented issue, and was fixed in a few days. And NV drivers are not flawless.

If ATI really had crappy drivers, I don't think they'd be THE gamers card of choice, and ahead of NVIDIA in market share.

After reading this whole thread again I've come to the conclusion that there are just a lot of complainers and whiners when it comes to hardware/software problems.

Man, suck it up - do whatever you can do to fix it, if you can't, post here and chances are other ATers will help you solve the problem. Jeeez, stop whining - if your drivers and/or hardware fails a hundred times in a roll, in different machines and the 'majority' of people are complaining about the same thing then and only then should you have the right to bitch and complain. Until then, the problem is probably with you and your machine or the way you go about things - get help.
