if you're talking about standoffs and the little red fiber washers, I would say you definitely need them...

The red insulators, that you usually use on the mobo screws, I do not have any. and I'm gonna add another standoff or 2 back beneath the ram and the ide connectors, ok? but i need 8 screws.... but this case came with black coated screws, will those work?

Just go to your "momNpop" computer store and ask for a few, they are surely going to give you some.

Dozens and dozens of systems and I've never used the red insulators. I just made sure I used the right sized screws and none of the traces were covered an a way that would cause a short circuit.

ok, well this is an msi board, book says nothing about supporting the celery 500's i got for it. but on the board there's a jumper to choose between cumine, and celeron. i switched it to celeron, but the book doesn't document it's existance, and i don't have fan's for the proc's so, i won't be able to test it for a few days. dang it.

Ark, it really depends on the mobo and the screw type. Reason being is that the disks prevent shorts that direct contact with some of the circuits might develope (it sounds like you're already aware of that, though.) I have not had to use the red disks on any board since the FIC va-503+ since designers typicaLly take that into consideration these days. If you have them, use them them. If not don't worry about it unless your board fails to light up.

I don't think the Celeron2s can be used in SMP. Plus the MSI 694 only supports 1 Celeron anyway.

That's odd, what would prevent the Celeron 2's from smp? Just curious, as I have no experience with the,, just their P3 counter-parts.

Nope, CII's are not SMP capable. Intel took care of that after the popularity of the BP6. :|

EDIT: Anyways, aren't Celly 500s original Celeron's, not CII's?
