OK--What is the correct pronunciation of "Porsche"?

I had a debate with a friend of mine over the correct way to pronounce the name of this great automobile. I'm not going to say what I think it is in case I'm wrong Thanks guys!

That's the correct way. Porsh is the americanized way.

It is a German type of word. The letter 'e' is pronounced like the English letter 'a'.

Porsche = Por-sha: emphasis on the first sylable. You pronounce every letter in german, hence the "e" on the end isn't silent.

actually the "uh" isnt 100% correct either. the german (and slavic) E sounds little different than "uh". Its the sound "eh" before you pronounce the 2nd letter. (its in way and bay too)

I say it pour - shh. But that of course is the Americanized way of saying it. I'm not quite sure how to properly pronouce it.

I know what you mean. The porsha pronounciation sounds like it came from some preppy tennis buff, talking about his father sports cars. "Hey Buffy, hahahaha"

well I say "Pore-sh" also... I figured the correct way to say it was "Porsh-ah" or something close to that..
