OK Whats the deal with Krispy Kreme donuts?

They are building a couple of stores here, and they were talking about traffic jams, and 24/7 lines to get in the place. What is the deal, are they that good, or are they lacing them with highly addictive narcotics? I mean I can dig donuts as much as the next guy, but waiting in line is a different story.

Only the fact that they are some of the best Dounuts on the planet. Dude they are not kidding about the lines either....people around here are at the drive-thru at like 6am when they open so they can get them fresh. They do kick much ass.

Krispy Kremes OWNZ J00!!!!! Dunkin Doughnuts is dog poo compared to KK. They make the doughnuts right there in front of you and you can see them on the conveur belt and watch the creme get dumped on as you drool all over your shirt.

And when the "Hot & Now" sign is lit, it's on BABY!!!!!

I tell you this - the first week(end) that those stores open, stay away, far away.

I work for a company that owns 4 KK stores in Iowa and Nebraska. We opened up our latest one in October. It was freaking insane. Lines were running outside of the building. It continued on that way for a full week. Things have since slowed down, but for a while it was utter chaos trying to navigate around that area.

The thing about KK donughts is that they aren't your typical "cake" doughnuts. They aren't flakey and have an entirely different taste to them. If you pick them right off of the rollers they are still so warm that they pretty much dissolve in your mouth. I can devoure 4 of them in a matter of seconds when they are still hot off of the press.

They truely are like no other donught.

KK is already working out a plan w/ the local cops trying to formulate a traffic plan. They are opening the shop at one of the busiest intersections in town as it is. Real close to the crosstown hiway, maybe KK doesnt wanna get sued when people see the fresh sign pop on, and fly across 6 lanes of traffic trying to get off.

they're good, but you get sick of 'em just like everything else.

 

We got one here in buffalo,ny now too.
When they are fresh they are godly.
BUt not really worth anything longer then a normal doughnut shop wait.

Ark... they are definitely in NYC... there's a Krispy Kreme in Grand Central, among others.. Krispy Kreme is truly Gods doughnut

Mmmmmm......Krispy Kreme doughnuts........grew up on them. Been inhaling them by the dozen for over four decades now. I guess I am one of the lucky ones who has had them around for life.
The big difference is KK's are yeast donuts, while everyone else is the cake type. Just fantastic!!! And the plain ole glazed is pure ecstacy!!
