I think that late monday, and early tuesday were when most of these shipped. And for free shipping 3 days is normal.

So by EOD today, I see a bunch of overclocks on X6's coming....

By chance what is the max vcore that this cpu can handle with the stock cooler? I figured it would be 1.5 volts like before, but with these I read 1.6?

Overall I should be able to hit 4 ghz just by raising the multiplier (baes on the other threads)

With stock cooler? Like Larry says, 1.45v is a good limit. You can hit 4GHz with 1.41v, but NB will probably only be at 2.4-2.6GHz or so.

Well, its here. I set the bios to 4.2 ghz, and its running in less than stock vcore (1475 says stock according to my motherboard) and I set it to 1.45.

But in windows it says 3.2 ghz and 16 x multi, and occt says its a dual-core. WTF ?? Maybe a detect hardware.....Task manager sees 6. Now for the multi thing.....

Any ideas ?

You have to double check your msconfig, and see how many cores are there. Some people have found that Windows doesn't detect the new cores.

And your 1090T could be downclocking due to Cool 'N Quiet.

OK, after messing with bios, it now says 4.2 ghz, occt says 6 cores, but only monitors 2. 20c idle(can't be right) 1.472 vcore. Trying occt@4.2 now.

I upped almost all the other voltages 2 ticks... Which ones are critical ? 200 fsb

BTW, posting from the 1090@4.2, load says 37.5 (can't be right) whats the best temp monitor ? coretemp work ?

Failed occt@4.2 in like one minute

I did add to them, 2 clicks. Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P. LET ME reboot, and write it down.

And even if I can't get 4.2, I couldn't even get my I7 to post @ 4.2, let alone a few minutes in OCCT.

Impressed so far.

NB volts should stay at 1.2v

CPU-NB at 1.2v (If you raise your NB past 2.8GHz, bump up to 1.25 - 1.4v, dependending on how high both your cpu and nb clocks are.) The more you raise cpu-nb voltage, the more it takes away from vcore, be aware of that.

Leave SB voltage normal.

Do the 1055T and 1090T come with the four-heatpipe AMD stock heatsink? And are those good for 4Ghz, or do you need an aftermarket one?

OK, here is what it is now
Dram 1.6
DDR VTT 1.0
NB 1.14
SB/HT 1.11
NB PCIE 1.175
CPU NB VID 1.2
Vcore is odd. If it detects 1.475 (this boot) it says 1.65 vcore. But in some boots it sees 1.35 vcore. I just know I have to (currently) add 0.175 to what it detects. If windows cpuz/occt sees 1.5 vcore, its close to stable with .175 added (thats the actual bios setting)

4.2 locks up after 2 minutes at these settings.

Ideas ??

NB is at 2000

Yes, the 1090T comes with a 4 heatpipe cooler. No idea if it is enough for 4 ghz. I can't tust my temp readings. @ 4.2 its never gone over 43c @ full load

Yeah I noticed that BIOS bug too, hopefully Gigabyte gets it resolved. "Default" vcore is 1.35v, so when you add voltage it adds to 1.35v. Did you disable Core Performance? Try 4GHz, 1.4v for starters.

Put NB voltage 1.2v.

OK, I upped NB to 1.3, speed to 2600 and CPU NB to 1.2, vcore in windows reads 1.52 under load, one minute on occt and running.

It locked after 3 minutes (45c max). I took it down to 1.475 vcore and 4 ghz. Will try occt here. After 5 minutes its still up.

I think that probably this will end up between 4.0 and 4.2 ghz. Temps are awesome (if to be believed) Is OCCT and coretemp accurate on the X6 ?
