There are tons of reviews on tons of websites on this game.
It's like saying which is worse to eat, fresh cat shit, or day old cat shit?
Doesn't matter, its all horrible.
This game is worst of all the zeldas. I played it for too long and then put it down. Having to play a different melody all the damn time was just a time sink and a huge huge letdown. I don't see how anyone could finish this game as you just lose the will to play it it is that tedious. There is just no redeeming quality in this game to want to ever play it again.

Perhaps it the levels were made 1D and everything was controlled by one button, and you added blood and explosions, it would appeal to today's "gamers".
Orarina of time sucked? well everyone has a right to their opinion but I'd label that as one of the best games of all time. I enjoyed majora's mask as well.
Wind waker... random exploration took too long... sailing around the water only to find your path blocked.. having to get one item, then spend all this time sailing around to get whatever upgrade... better off not exploring and just playing the storyline straight through which is not something I do with adventure rpg games. I did like it though, just not as much as others in the series. Twilight princess was way too easy.. enemies should have done 4x the damage. Even the hardest dungeon in the game, that one in the desert, was doable in the first try.. once I beat that I stopped playing and never beat the game.
I'm of the opposite opinion. IMO, windwaker was the best zelda.
Ocarina of Time in comparison...kinda sucked.

Yeah, I get a lot of shit for that opinion.
I mean, Windwaker was my first Zelda ever, so of course I'm biased towards it.
Ocarina of Time just wasn't as delightful to me. It was much more primitive in graphics and it didn't have the emotional connection of the sister.
You aren't alone. I could never get into any Zelda after they went 3D. At first I just thought it was the crazy N64 controller, but later found that no, I just didn't care for them in 3D. It saddens me because Zelda was one of my favorite IPs.
I'm a huge GIANT crap my pants Zelda fan.
It's pathetic how big of a fan I am.
That being said, I hated Windwaker on gamecube. I am considering getting the remake on the Wii U though. I keep hearing to many good things about it.
For trajectory my top 5 Zelda list is.
Twilight Princess
Ocarina of Time
Link to The Past
These first three are miles above the following two.
Zelda NES
Majoras Mask
Maybe the new one on 3DS will suit your tastes, being as it is a 'spiritual successor' to ALttP.
Did you ever play the gameboy/gameboy advance Zeldas?
Interesting.
I really disliked Twilight Princess. It is easily my least favorite Zelda. Maybe everyone has at least one Zelda they hate.
Twilight Princess is 2nd on my list. If it didn't have those stupid gimmicky controls, it would have been neck and neck with OoT.
