I have a HannsG 196D (like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Hannspree-HU-19...8890?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item4aad64deba) and it has the same LCD panel as http://ftpkuban.com/FTP/Manual/ViewSonic/VP920_b-1_SM_1a.pdf . The LCD itself has a few bad spots in it. The boards inside are fine and it does produce a picture, though with a few damaged areas.
Should I just replace the LCD with one I've found on eBay or try a substitution? It's apparently 5:4 ratio SXGA. Was wondering if I couldn't get something better and throw it in there.
I don't really need the darned thing. It has been replaced. I could just junk it.
Thanks, Barry
