Very interesting - my wife is a nurse and sees all the emergency room trends in almost real-time. Evidently, while meth is still going strong and khat (yes, the Somali drug of choice) is growing but still niche, the latest fad to picking up steam is snorting Viagra. Such a relatively new trend that there's not really even any medical research on the effects or treatment, especially when you snort some cocaine afterwards. Can't possibly imagine who came up with the idea of turning erectile disfunction medicine into a street drug.

Probably based on desperation. When an addict needs a fix and can't get his drug of choice he'll try anything. You run through everything in the medicine cabinet and can't catch a buzz off Tylenol or Alka-Seltzer you eventually have to give the Viagra a shot.
