I'm sitting here watching John Fogerty's "Long Road Home" concert in HD again this morning, and Fogerty still absolutely kicks-ass (I know it's from a couple years ago) I love how he changes guitars on every song, and just nails every song.

He's a great guitarist singer/songwriter and a hell of a frontman to boot. I grew up listening to CCR and they were very influential in my life musically. He'll be turning 63 this May, so definately belongs on the old farts that rock list.

He's not alone either. A number of artists perform later into life. Name one you think is worthy.

Zero. When you hit 35-40, no matter who you are, your voice goes. Old bands also just keep making the same songs over and over again, or if they try something new, they suck at it (think Metallica). Once the teen angst lyrics and 20s voice are exhausted, you are nothing but a relic in rock.

Tom Petty's almost sixty, can you make an exception, or does he have to wait two years?

Based on your posts, sorry, I'm going to have to disagree with that as well. I propose you listen with your bias which cloud your ears. Good is good at any age, simple as that.
