Another Asus P4C800-E Deluxe running here. The CPU is a Northwood 2.4C OC'd to 3.0 GHz. Still running strong, though I may relegate it to server use and build a new i7 desktop.

My first computer, a Leading Edge Model D, still runs. It's 1987 vintage with an 8 MHz NEC CPU (Intel 8088 copy), a 20 MB hard drive, a 5.25" floppy drive, and running DOS 3.20. The monitor is 13" amber monochrome. Power on to DOS prompt in less than 10 seconds. Beat that!

I had an Asus A8N-E with a 6600GT and 3200+ running 24/7 for 4 years, then sold it to a friend and it still runs everyday. Plays TF2 pretty smooth

I had an Asus P5A with an AMD K6 350 that was still running last year when I gave it and a bunch of working stuff to Goodwill--- who probably trashed it. That combined with an ati 32mb video card was great for Doom 2 era gaming. But yeah, that was nearly 8 years with win 98 and linux.

Easy, my 1984 Commodore-64.

Almost all of my Socket-A mobos have gone bad, ASUS nForce, Expo KT-333, Asrock with SiS746, etc. Only one still going is an MSI with SiS746, but the USB2.0 on that chipset is not working as it should.

The older things till works fine.

ASUS CUR-DLS (Dual socket 370)
ASUS P2B 1.10
ABIT BH6

BX 440 was the shit.

I was proud of my Soltek K8TPro but when I moved it to a new case, it died. So sad... It was a great board for many years.

DFI LanParty NF-4 Ultra-D/Athlon 64 3200+ First board arrived with problems as did the OCZ ram, both replacements are still running like the day I first fired them up - not a single problem. Upgrading it now to i7-920 with either Asus P6x58D or Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R - comments on those 2 boards welcome!

Speaking of old motherboard. Still got my old Epox 8KHA+ using a AMD XP 2400+ processor. Using the system for running my basic stuff I use everyday.

setting up an Abit VP6 system for server use. Has dual 1ghz PIII's (133 bus) and 640 megs of ECC ram. I will be upgrading to more ram. Not sure which OS to run. I may experiment with WHS.

My desktop is still my Epox 9NPA+ Ultra with AMD Athlon 64-3000, 1g ram. Got it in the late summer of 2005 and it is still trucking along with daily use without a hiccup, though my board battery is dead so if I switch off my PS the CMOS clears itself. Handles web surfing, Office/business tasks, Photoshop 6.0, Dreamweaver, video and audio converting, etc. but it does so s l o w l y. I have upgraded to a 3870 replacing an X800 that had a flaky fan, new 470w Antec PS, new hard drives, new drd-rw, and new 22" LCD.

I have $400 set aside for a new CPU, Mobo & RAM plus a Win7 Ult license, just have to pull the trigger. Not easy with Intel releasing new chips every week - maybe another AMD, the 630 maybe?

Some older motherboards unfortunately died an early death due to issues with bad capacitors, but some made it through to the modern times.

Have you still got a motherboard running today that still finds a use?

I have the once legendary Epox 8KHA+ sat at my parents house with a XP 1500+, 512MB ram and a Geforce 2 GTS.

They use it for internet surfing and emails - and you know what, it still runs like a champ!

Luckily it didn't have bad caps, and of course Epox are now gone.

It's an excellent board indeed. I still remember buying this board for my free AMD Athlon Giveaway 1800+

I still have a Abit NF7-S rev. 2.0 that works, and a DFI NF4 Athlon 64 3200+ and 1 Gb ram still running.

That is what is in my current HTPC. I have several Athlon XP boards, but that is the only one currently running. I also have a couple of BH6 boards and 3 or 4 slot 1 CPUs that I could build if I wanted to build them.

Come to think of it, I have a fully assembled (and I believe it would still work if I powered it on) Pentium Pro system. It is a Pentium Pro 180 overclocked to 233 with like 96 MB of RAM, a Matrox Millennium 2, a Voodoo 2, a Soundblaster 64, and a SCSI-based 2X CD burner (my first burner). I have SERIOUSLY thought about bringing that guy up and putting in my other Voodoo2 just for the hell of it.

I had a couple of Abit NF7-S rev 1.0 boards that finally choked last year - probably bad capacitors. But I have two of the Shuttle AN35N Ultra boards also based on the nForce 2 chipset and purchased the same year as the Abits that are still going strong. Upgraded one with an XFX Radeon 4650 AGP video card and installed Windows 7 Pro recently. They are both running Athlon XP's oc'd to 2.2 GHz. I'm typing on one right now!

My 9 year old son is using my very first high performance build:

Epox 8RDA3+ with a lapped northbridge and Zalman cooler
mobile 2600+ with a huge copper heatsink/92mm fan (i forget brand)
radeon 9500 pro with a sandwich heatsink
1 gig of Geil ddr
all in a monstrous Xaser III case

that rig has been clocked at 2.4 ghz (220 mhz FSB) since it was built over 5 years ago, and is still running strong (playing Roblox at the moment). I'll be finally retiring it next week when he gets my old pentium dual core board and cpu.

Is that a new brand? Like Gateway computers?

AMD ran a bunch of giveaways when the athlon XPs launched. drove to houston and dallas from austin to wait in mall parking lots at 4 am in the cold.

My brother, two of my good friends and myself all had the Epox 8KHA+ with XP 1800+ CPUs. That was the cream back in the day. Any idea why it was, because I can't remember.

We got 2 ancient computers that my parents still use at my house. One is the one that me and my dad built in summer of 2004, its got Asus P4R800-V Deluxe for mobo and P4 for cpu. Still running today with vista on it

The other one is a really old one that we bought from a computer store in fall of 2001. I have no idea what mobo it is running but lets just say that computer is still running on Riva TNT2 by Nvidia and it still works though it is on its last leg.
