I didn't think a RAM-less computer could boot much less play Bioshock! :Q

While the trailers look very impressive, the gameplay concerns me a bit. I was hoping more for a Deus Ex type experience, rather than a Unreal/Serious Sam monster fest. Perhaps the trailers are just showing all the action and there is more to it than kill baddie, reload, repeat. Anyone give me any feedback who has played either demo?

Can anyone tell me which system this was originally designed for, PC or 360? I ask because I have been bitten by buying the wrong version before. It was very clear in Deus Ex 2, based on the controls (ie for cracking door codes) that it was made for one system and poorly ported (controls not corrected) for the other.
So which system was Bioshock "intended" for?

Just finished playing through the demo.

The thing this game has going for is the atmosphere , the story.
The graphics are good but after playing the demo I can see clearly where cuts were made for the console.
There were a few areas /objects where you can see that they did low poly count. One is a scene where an enemy attacks swinging a hook and the hook is made up of about 6 sections making it look blocky. This game would have looked amazing if they had pushed the poly counts.
Another area where you can see the console influence is in the graphics options.
They are pretty limited and there is no option for AA. I guess those that want it will have to force it in the drivers.
The positives.
The sound is excellent. Probably the best I have heard in any game to date.
The atmosphere. It really makes you feel like you are beneath the water and nowhere is safe.
The story. Its got a great storyline so far and that alone for me makes it worth the cost of purchase.
There aren't many games besides rpg that come out with stories that make you want to see whats going to happen and they did a good job at that.
Graphically I wasn't wowed but all the other stuff more than makes up for it.
System used.
Pentium D 3.0ghz
2GB ram
7900GTX 512MB
windows xp sp2
played at 1280x1024
No framerate problems whatsoever.
Its fluid and the framerates seemed to stay high.
Tim Sweeney: Unreal Engine 3 uses deferred shading to accelerate dynamic lighting and shadowing. Integrating this feature with multisampling requires lower-level control over FSAA than the DirectX9 API provides. In Gears of War on Xbox 360, we implemented multisampling using the platform's extended MSAA features. On PC, the solution is to support multisampling only on DirectX 10.

Well thats a tricky question. From what I've heard it was originally designed for 360 and ported to the PC, however I have also heard that the PC version is very well done and optimized. Personally I am getting the PC version over the 360, I did the same with Oblivion and was very happy with my choice.
IntroMovieXBox360="..\BinkMovies\2KG_logo_720P.bik"
; 5MB for now needs testing with final intro movie
IntroMovieBufferSizeXBox360=5242880
AttractMovieXBox360="..\BinkMovies\attractMovie.bik"
;; Use 20mb for attract movie; reduces DVD reads which allows more caching to the hard drive while
;; the attract movie plays
AttractMovieBufferSizeXBox360=20971520

I've read 7PM EST though I cannot confirm whether it is true or not.
