I've got a IBM Thinkpad 760XL. Had it bout 6 months. My brother bought it for me from an insurance co. for $250.00. This one had everything, Dock 1 docking station, 80mgs Ram,20X CD, 2 floppys and an external housing, extra battery, 10T nic, ect. and a bag to hold the works. Oh yea, and a 2.1g Hard Drive.
I hated uninstalling alot of stuff trying to stay under 2gigs so I bought this IBM 14gig
I called IBM.Drive support and was told of a "Disk Overlay Program" and then got bounced to a BIOS tech who told me to flash. I flashed........ and all went well, phew.
Fdisk sees only 8048m of my 14gig drive. I bought an adaptor and formated 13360 in my K6 but when it went back in the laptop it was an invalid drive. It tests OK in BIOS, the flapping bird said so.
When I Fdisk it in the laptop to 8048, the computer will no longer boot to floppy ?
Where's an int13 when you need one ?
Help...
