I use two Dell P991 monitors, and they started out great, but have begun to go "green" on me (I know, you're thinking "green", WT-!?!?). I can't explain it, but when I play tac-ops on my home one, it has a colder, greener look to it vs. the Sony E400 that sits right next to it. It's wierd, and I know it hasn't always been like that. I'm not saying not to buy it, but I am giving you my experience.

Since they are both from work, I can't RMA them either. That's up to the IT dept., who prolly has better things to do....

I just ordered this. But, I don't know how good it will be.
It does have a 3 year warrranty. So, as long as it works

the NEC is top notch. looks great at 85 Hz and 1024 x 768 with my computer. i've actually got two of them--one at school and my brother has one at home.

I have a 19" monitor that started going red on me. It started out fine just like the guy that used the Dell monitors but now it's in that sorry state. I definitely would go with lcd from now on which saves me the hassle of finding a box to ship it back in (the 19" monitor box i drew away months ago when it was just taking way too much room) since they and the boxes that they come are so much smaller. When you buy a monitor, you expect it to have a 5+ yr life span as they rated it, not 3/4 year usable life span and 4 1/4+ unusable.

I ordered the M991 for $210.09 (includes 6% tax for my state). With the 3 year warranty I figured why not.

CompUSA has great deals every other week on one of their Envision monitors (not the 710 one that's like 79.99$ after rebates) but the other 17 inch one. I'm currently at 1280x1024 at 85hz and it's a dream. The cost was only 120$ after rebates (or 130$, forgot). I bought this one instead of the other envision monitor you're all talking about because I heard it was a piece of crap, and u basically got what u paid for.

For all those that have or want the envision 17. I have 3 of them. They're just fine and I've gotten the rebates fairly quickly for all 3. Cant beat it for the money.

Pop the case on that "greenie" monitor and try adjusting the color. There should be adjustment screws in there somewhere.
But be careful.......HIGH VOLTAGE inside.

Just ordered the Envision EN-710 from Staples, as posted above, for $69.99 *delivered* plus tax (after $60 MIR and $30 coupon). I'll use this on the kids' machine I'm building up (almost entirely with AT deals).

I got the Philips 109b at office depot. It does 1920x1440. It is a decnt 19" monitor.
349 -20% - $50 MIR = $229 I liked it better.

Ok I was going to buy the 955df fromdell but something is srewy with the rebate .On the dell site it says it comes with a 100 bucks rebate but on the rebate form that goes to the rebate processing place it says this model has a 40 bucks rebate so whats up with this can anyone please explain ?

JohnMellencamp-if you read the site(dell) more carefully, it says UP to $100 back on rebates. noticed on samsung's rebate, the only qualifying monitors for the $100 rebate are the LCD's
