Leavers, feeders and scrubs have a huge effect, yes. But I've been mitigating that somewhat by looking at team composition before the match.
No crowd control? DODGE THAT CRAP.
Three tanks on 5v5? DODGE THAT CRAP.
Five ganky squishies, no support or tank? DODGE THAT CRAP.
Eve? DODGE THAT CRAP.
All melee or next to no magic damage? You know what comes next.
It's a matter of experience. I've started to smell out the team members who will let the carries tank & initiate then hope to pick off a weak straggler to maintain their K ratio at the expense of winning.
There's still no filter for scrubs and leavers but you can at least dodge some of the other fail lineups.
