Can someone fill me in on AGN? What was it?

Hello!

AGN was started by Jeremy Alford.
He created the site after splitting from Voodoo ????(I forgot).
From there it grew and the For Sale forum became the best trading forum on the net.
Heatware was created from the AGN traders.
Anandtech created a For Sale forum much later than AGN.

Jeremy then got sick and Josh ??? took over and then they tried to become too commercialize.
Don't know the exact details but AGN went under shortly after that and everyone moved to AT.

I believed Jeremy has passed away.

...He had a brain tumor which they operated on and kept him alived for sometime...may you R.I.P.

It was AGN if you wanted to trade...I should have kept my AGN handle when I signed up here initially so my joined date would have been 1999. I had to re join to keep my Heats conform with my handle here...never ventured much away fm the FS Forum.

I remember how much abuse (probably rightfully so) fkloster took for pushing RDRAM back when it was new.

I am by no means an old timer, but I'd like to think I was part of this community when it was a community. Maybe, I hardly remember.
