So many memories. I took my time registering on this forum after it changed from the bulletin board format. There weren't too many liberals on that board. It was paradise for a subversive like me. My ego remembers impressing Red Dawn with one of my mirror tricks. The little child in me was very proud. I loved his neither this nor that no nonsense balance.

- AT has been my go to social outlet ever since Reddit nuked their 3rd party apps. I wish more people did the same, much better quality and durability of conversation on AT but man it gets quiet around here sometimes.

That is a lot of the problems with these forums. There are so many forums unrelated to tech. They need to shrink it back down to less forums.

I have my first firewall/router box out in the shed, it is a socket 4 with the evergreen technologies superchip 133Mhz
The horizontal case is stout enough to use as a jackstand, and it works with only one combination of ram. I tried several ram upgrades and was always greeted by the beep of death.
It was one fickle fucker.
The 330 MB hard drive sounds like it is grinding sand, but it still booted FreeBSD 2.x when I stuck it in there as a time capsule.
10BaseT nics were plenty for the early cable speeds.
