I'm still here. I remember when they did the original account board wipe, since I started coming here back in 97 or 98? No, definately 98. Was when I first made my first computer with a juiced up Celeron 333 running at 500MHz. All the info I found out how to build it came from here and some fat dork I know IRL. Thanks Brian! Didn't make a new account for posting again until 2000. Bleh. I was a WMC too I remember that entire debacle too. Been posting here and OC Forums for too dang long.

Yet, I still have no clue how people have such humungous post counts. ZOMG! If I added my old account posts to my new ones I'd still not break 1000.

I hung around ATOT quite a bit back in the old days (2000 - 2002) I gradually moved away into HT when they opened that and then drifted off the forums entirely as the inanity that infested ATOT drifted into HT. I wonder if anyone still remembers me?

They tried to weasle out of it, but when you ordered, their system sent back a confirmation. That was enough to form a binding contract. A bunch of people filed a class action suit and, after more than a year, they won.

I had a different idea, and I posted on AT, suggesting that each member should file a small claims action in their own jurisdiction. I had to laugh at the thought of them sending lawyers to hundreds of locations, large and small, to deal with it. As far as I know, they offered a settlement to everyone who filed a small claims action against them.

It wasn't the first, second or third time they tried that kind of stunt. It was the last. They improved their whole business model, especially their business ethics, after that.

I was around on that deal and missed it...did get to buy a HP M900 (751 rebadged) later on for cheap though I still have it as my full time screen, my work 21" I can only run 1270x1024, my 19" Hitachi can do 1600x1200 way clearer.
