Old Timers ROLL CALL!

Does anyone know what happened to Russ? His Forums are still up but get few posts and his store seems to be there. He was so helpfull in GH to many back in the day.

Looking at Ornerys pictures sure brings back memories of the old place...

Harvey, what was the screen name of the other person (IIRC it was a woman) who went the small claims route... went down to Buy.com and participated in a meeting with some execs? I was one of the original WMC... I remember laughing at the image of the carload of geeks driving down I-5 and 'storming the walls...'

Nice to see some of the old timers!

I can't remember the screen name, but the guy who said RDRAM was the coming thing that would take the industry by storm and paid some ungodly sum for it...
also the guy from Intel who was just a great guy and was a wealth of information...TB or something like that....


ETA: fkloster was the guy who started the thread on RDRAM. I just remember that thread as being more argumentative than most. Up there with nVidia vs. 3DFX...

And it was PM and not TB who was from intel....

I believe he decided to kick the forum habbit after he ended up in the top 10 post count rankings. The creation of P&N(which would have locked him up with our resident psychos and trolls at times) didn't help.

Oh I know, I'm not saying I was an old timer, but I made a post that questioned the integrity of one and funny how it disappeared conveniently so that he didn't have to respond.

Don't get me wrong though, most of you guys kick ass. Much better than the neftastic asshats who join the forum now.

interesting how this thread is like a window back to the beginnings. I had my username changed from "OuterSquare" to "OS".

I still remember stupid ass threads like voodoo3 vs geforce where people flamed each other incessantly over whether 32 bit vs 16 bit color mattered or not.

I can vouch that as recently as last year, Russ is still alive cause I spoke with him.

Hey compuwiz1! Hows tricks? So many good time old timers coming out of the woodwork! Are you actually still in touch with Jake? You should let him know that it would ROCK if he would make a cameo. He could be H8Tank-2 or something for the occasion if his name is on permanent locked out and forgotten status.

This whole thing makes me wonder about an "Old Timers... what's changed in your life since we started here" thread.

H8 and Hippy should be let back in IMO They saw what was going on and spoke their mind... For that they get banned... That whole WW. thing was a scam and a bunch of people jumped on that bandwagon... I am sure Dennis had fun...

Its amazing what growing old and working a real job will do to you

I still wonder what happened to Airman.
He ran up 100+ Heatwares and then decided to to screw all the nooBs.
We outkasted him over at AGN and then he went to AT and screwed people there too.
