I remember all this stuff! My first visit to this site was in the geocities days.

I remember back in 99 or 00 when Compusa or BB was selling rebadged plextor 8x cd recorder for some crazy price of 199 or something like that with an included scsi card. Someone- it was golfreak or rossman that posted a picture of his closet with something like 50 of them stacked in ther to sell on ebay.

I also remember the WMC, the group buys ( best one was the original radeon 32mb by hawk i believe.

I also remember the mad rush to reregister and a lot of people complaining about how some newbie took their username.

I also remember that AGN was the site and trading board.

It's funny... all the guys talking about the "good old days" , but to me it's still the "new board". I was here at least 3 times. The first time it was a page with the posts stacked on top of each other like Usenet. The next time I came here, it was a board, then finally they switched to the new board. The old timers were the ones on the original board talking about the K6. I used to lurk on there at my old job.

I remember leaving and coming back, and seeing all the "new" people like Guy Under the Bridge, "let's keep it real". Then I left again, and came back again.

I smashed my Value America printer just last year, and finally upgraded my Value America Voodoo3 3500 this year (a $200 video card for $50, w00t!) Value America was, IMO, the most extravagant of all the hot deals. WMC is infamous, Staples coupons were great, but VA was just incredible. Who the crap plans a business model around nearly unlimited 50% off coupons?!?!
