I have an older Enermax PSU (EG465P-VE FCA), about 3 years old. It is rated at 431W, and has the older 20pin ATX connector and a six-pin aux along with a +12v connector and the other peripheral 4-pin connectors.
Here are the components I am planning on using when I buy (some I already have):
P35 board (Gigabyte DS3R looks good)
E6750 or Q6600, have not decided yet
BFG 7900GS OC
2GB DDR2 800 RAM
500-750GB HD
200GB HD (already have)
DVD RW drive
Creative Xfi soundcard (maybe)
various standard USB devices (mouse, keyboard)
2 x 120mm case fans
I know I can get the cable to adapt 20 to 24 in.
Rails are rated at: +5:44A / +12:20A / +3.3:38A
The +12 seems to be a little low to me, might be the weak link. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also, I don't plan on doing any overclocking.
