I'm just about to get my grubby little hands on an Opteron 165 which I plan on overclocking like a fiend (as I'm sure 99% of recent 165 owners are doing). As such I'm wondering if my current memory is going to be capable of handling the pressure.
I have Corsair TwinX1024-3200LL in an Asus A8N-Premium board with my current A64 3000+, and am having no problems whatsoever. The question is how hard can I potentially push these sticks with them lighting up like little Roman candles? I'm not looking for exact numbers, but just some ballpark info. Is it feasible to get the processor to 2.4 or should I first be investing in some shiny new PC4400 or PC4800 sticks?
