Oldest piece of currency you've found?

Yup! I was excited then, but my mom now has it. The reason I stopped the backhoe to check it out is because I thought that the shiny object could be one of the tooth that I lost on one of the bucket (each tooth worth about $15 each).

I have several coins from the 1800's, the oldest being a nickel from 1887. I also have 3 civil war confederate notes, 100, 10, and a 5.

found at my grandpa's house: Georgives half penny - 1733
another found at grandpa's house: some old european coin from 1373...nobody has been able to tell me what country it's from
bought: circa 300BC from the roman empire....made from bronze and has one of the emperors on it....i forgot which one it was

i forget a lot of things

oh crap!

i can't find any of my old coins! they were all in these special plastic cases i bought for them....i only found 1 out of my 5 plastic cases

only found one my grandpa gave me from 1790
i hope they're just buried in my coin drawr well....i would feel horrible if i *gasp* lost them

Found a 1941 nickel the other day
Also found a wide variety of wheat pennies
Had a 1969 dollar in my wallet for a while but had to use it unfortunately when I was low on cash at a restaurant (old bills are damn hard to come by in common circulation)
But the oldest coin that I have is an 1864 2 cent piece (bought, not found)
