Well, that's my situation too. I'm set because my several years old 30" 1600p IPS monitor is the best monitor for my needs still. I have the money but there's nothing out there for me that wouldn't be a worse compromise.

QFT. I've been on a 24" MVA monitor for the past 8 years. I tried out the BenQ BL3200PT to see if I can finally upgrade (I want a MVA panel as I like the black levels), but that plan was hosed as that panel had several issues, and every 30"+ panel I look at has issues it seems. I'd pay double what the equivalent LCD monitor cost if I could get an OLED monitor.

What kind of issues did you see with that panel? i was thinking of upgrding from my 24" samsung monitor (19x12). Looking for 2 pag ework real estate and a big windshield for my driving sim. Yes, I have a fast enough graphics card to push it.

Even more. Courtesy of GSMArena.

LG is prepping 65" and 77" OLED TVs with HDR capabilities for superb color accuracy, contrast, and equal color gamut to professional monitors for movie editing.

A 65" UHD borderless TV will be also on the floor, as well as 8K 65" TV and 31.5" monitor.

Only for the professional market and will likely cost a fortune. But OLED+HDR with DP 1.3 makes all kinds of amazing possibilites possible for the gaming market in 1-2 years down the line.

Colour banding, dead pixels, and there was some chirping noise coming from the monitor whenever I was scrolling through a page. Hardforum has a thread about that monitor detailing the issues. I got a relatively old panel firmware though so YMMV.

I also own this panel. Had dead pixels in the first but second one is flawless. And such is the case with all modern panels. Swap banding for IPS glow/backlight bleed and that pretty much covers every panel out there.

Yeah I may give it another go cause it seemed like a nice monitor, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up. Bestbuy seems to get old revisions.

Wish I could have held out a couple more years. Have long loathed LCD, and my damn 30" 1600p IPS took a dump a month ago. Ended up with the Acer XB271HU. Am liking it, but would gladly trade for an OLED.

And it's not alone.

There may be more oled notebooks before the year ends. The spectre tends to cost less than the carbon line but now there are at least two notebooks with optional oled displays coming.

Unless something else better comes along, I'll be replacing my late 2011 notebook with that oled spectre.

Hmmm, it's not the same screen size as the Lenovo, and the screen isn't big enough to be a 4K version of the one in the Lenovo. I wonder who is making the panel?

edit: nevermind, that's not the size of the x360's screen, it doesn't mention screen size. It's surely going to be the same panel that's in the Lenovo.
