Conan O'Brien made fun of them too. Said they should change their slogan to "Pretty good, for the price."

How about the pizza hut ones where they trick people in a fancy-ish place into eating pizza hut pasta?
I'm going to do the exact same thing at my wedding reception.
Put them in glass serving dishes and see what people think. I really like it, but alot of people don't think it will be good.
I'll just start a conversation about how good the Pizza Hut pasta looks just as good and see where it goes.
I will not be having Pizza Hut employees show up however.
I agree that the "You do the math, I'll do the alfredo..." line is about the worst commercial writing at its peak. But I just change the channel like a normal person would.

No, it isn't The worst commercial by far is this. Olive garden commercials are nowhere near as bad as these commercials.

And the pasta is like bacon burger macaroni?
But no, seriously, I hate Olive Garden with a passion. My mother (God bless her soul) makes me take her there every year for her birthday. Where I can get a plate of Kraft mac and cheese for $15 and (thank God my mother doesn't drink) the servers keep trying to push 2-buck-chuck quality wine on me for $25 bucks.
And I hate to sound elitist, but what appalls me most is that the place is always packed. I mean FFS people, you could get REAL quality Italian food with a decent wine for the same price somewhere else. There's probably a dozen quality Italian restaurants with real trained chefs in your area going under right now while Olive Garden does a brisk business. WTF.

true story:
I went one time (yeah...mom suggested, heh). No olive oil on the table.
So, I requested olive oil.
Waitress: excuse me?
Me: Could you bring some olive oil?
Waitress: what is that?
Me:...wait, what?
Waitress: I don't think we have that.
Me: You don't have olive oil?
Waitress: I don't even know what that is.
Me: This is Olive Garden, right?
Waitress: ...yeah? (she's a little annoyed at this point)
Me: So...how do you not have olive oil?
Waitress: Well, I'm not sure, but I'll go in the back and ask.
Me: Please do.
Waitress leaves
....
..
.
returns
Waitress: I'm sorry, but we don't have any olive oil.
Me: Mom, let's get out of here.
True story (....well, it's my GF's story; but it's easier if I just say that I was there )
