dp004 - you've tracked stuff online before, right? the package must go through a series of shipping places before it gets to you... right? i think if the final destination is correct, then don't worry about it.

I've ordered from them a bunch of times. I have 6 Olympus c-720's & 5-6 various other models all purchased from them. It is kinda luck of the draw but most of the items are virtually brand new but you just really never know until you get it. My advice is to read the descriptions really close. Think about the items you have purchased and returned. Sometimes you look at it and then return it. Sometimes you abuse it for a few weeks then return it.

Thortyboy- bump is what you have done in this thread 12 times without saying it.

dp004i- They're definately not monkey's & you don't have anything to worry about They seem to have a serious system in place and I have received over 100 items from them and they are always shipped within 24 hours of payment and I usually receive them within 2-3 days and have never had a delay for any reason.

Looks like somebody at UPS screwed up and punched a wrong button so it said out for delivery instead of departure scan.

For egay? That would be a mistake since returnbuy sets the standard for the lowest price on an open box item on egay. Unless you intend to misrepresent the item which you hardly can since they alter the serial number label & stamp NO MANUFACTURE WARRANTY all over ever single piece of documentation that comes with the item.

Just got the camera today. The box is a bit busted up, but the camera looks like new. It still has the protective plastic covers on the LCD and the viewfinder. I tried turning it on, seems to work just fine. Haven't had a chance to test anything else, will try it out when I get home from work.

The serial is not altered, but the documentation is stamped, meaning all the ferengi screwed themselves on this one BTW, the box isn't too bad either. It was covered with tape and labels, but I took them off and cleaned it with some rubbing alcohol, it looks like new now.

Never underestimate the stupidity of Ebay buyers. I personally know that Exman did pretty well selling the last remanufactured camera deal we got. If Exman buys all the cameras from Returnbuy then he will set the standard for the lowest price on Ebay

Not to mention Exman is saving one of those purty 720's for me Get them yet Exman?

No, there were no stickers on the camera, except for the one that's supposed to be there (the blue Olympus one with camera specs). All the other stuff was stuck to the box that the camera came in (a retail box btw). As far as how the camera looks, just go to the nearest store that sells it, open the box and take a look. It looks like it is brand new. No scratches or anything.

Jason

I got the 3 all yesterday. All came in seperate boxes (weird) 1 box was smaller (weird)... and it had only the camera and all the equipment but no box but it was ok cause they had put it in some very good commercial foam so it was well protected. I tried them out and they all seem to be in tip top shape and function well. The funny thing is most of my low light pics with the AUTO setting are very bright? like the flash went off, but the flash was not popped so it couldn't be that. So I think they have improved the lens since the 700Uzi and maybe even our 1.8's, which doesn't sound right to me, but they are pretty darn bright

One thing I noticed that I did not like was the cameras all take a lil longer to fire than the 4040Z because the auto focus on an 8X lense takes longer I suppose? It is is really not a bad thing I guess just different.

O- the cameras also looked brand new not a noticable scratch on them (this surprises me abit actually but a happy surprise in the least). the camera is also a lil smaller than the 3040 and my 4040. I am gonna let my wife use one of the 720's see if she likes it better than the 4040Z if so I might keep one since so far I like them good enough to keep one.

Oh and as far as stickers on the front I beieve all three had them... actually 2 of them had plastic over them like they were never even used ever

Cheers to Jason! for he is correct sir

I guarantee I will not be eating anything on these cameras I do not care if it say no warranty on one single page... the cameras work well and look factory fresh. as long as I do not empasize there is not a warranty and put "as is" I'm cool on eb*y I expect a lil less than $100 each on profit after the over inflated shipping and handling charges eB*Y idiots are more than willing to pay (Mine will not be even close to some that go upwards of $30... that I will not do :Q ). I have actually way over sold returnbuy on two different cameras already so I am not worried Most people rather buy from me than returnbuy cause I have a much better track record than Return Buy anyhow... cause I do not sell junk and I have ZERO negatives ahhhh the beauty of having good refs!

so if this ferengi is making $ on ebay more power to me! and poopoo on joo!

Cheers,

EX

P.S. good scout on the hot deal thanks!

the funny thing is if I didn't have scruples. which I do. someone could go into curcuit city and purchase one then swap it with a return buy one and then take it back. It would be fraud but it could be done very easily. No I do not condone such acts so keep your flames at bay:Q

But I do know of some people here at AT that would do this but I will not mention any names .... LoL Just to screw over BB or CC or even Crap Usa. just remember Fraud is BAD

At the bottom of the returnbuy product page, it says "AV interface cable, PC interface cable, remote control, lens cap, shoulder strap, software, batteries, 16MB SmartMedia card and user manual included." But just above it in "Our Comments", it says "Battery Included: no", "Remote: N/A"... Could you please verify? Thanks a lot!

I tired out the camera yesterday; everything seems to work fine. It did have a little trouble focusing at maximum zoom, but a tripod solved that problem. Like Exman the ferbgi said, low light pictures come out surprisingly well, even without flash.

PS: I looked at the same camera at MicroCenter, looks like I got a full retail package. The only thing missing were the plastic wraps for the manuals (those were taken out and stamped with the no warranty label) and a foam pad that goes between the top of the box and the paperwork, which was replaced with a piece of bubble wrap. Overall, not such a big loss, I can live without a piece of foam and a few square inches of plastic wrap Everything else was there.

PPS: The box doesn't have the serial number stamped on it, so you can easily swap the cameras at CrapUSA or your other favority highway robber hangout if you have any problems with it. I know that would be fraud, but hey, they want $600 (more than twice what we paid after tax) for the same camera, so you shouldn't feel so bad about screwing them over

umm... poor logic and bad idea to post.

The C-700 and C-720 (new ones) do NOT come with remotes, nor do the remotes even work with this line of cameras since they do NOT have a IR receiver on them. They normally come with disposable lithium batteries, but these don't. But since they last all of day or two of heavy usage you aren't missing anything.

jasonja & EXman .....
If you guys even had the slightest clue about making money on ebay you would have purchased these from returnbuy on ebay instead of their website for $289 buy it now plus $9.99 shipping and saved yourself $32 on each camera. SUCKERS!!!!!!!!!
completed item search 25 sold since the day you bought yours

jasonja....
Returnbuy has sold 65 Olympus c-720's in the last 30 days so let me know when Exman comes up with the $20,000+ it will cost him to bottom out their inventory so he can control the market until they restock.

Actually the ones on ebay they did not give good ratings and some were missing stuff so it is comparing apples and oranges. getting the extra stuff is worth it. If I just wanted a camera for whatever lower price I would have done that also a week ago all there 720's were not that cheap.

Sucker or not I will make a tidy lil profit

Keep fooling yourself but your not fooling me. "Item includes all original accessories" direct quotes from the $289 price ads. The only way you you will make a little under $100 profit is if you misrepresent the item. In which case you guys would have been quoting me out of context since I said "unless you intend to misrepresent the item." Then you can start on your collection of negatives.

Every camera I have gotten from them has a center punch mark on the serial number label which I'm sure is a pretty good clue to Olympus that it has no warranty.
