Olympus D510 Digital 279.95

As of today, both OD and Best Buy have this digital 2.1 Megapixel camera for $299.99. It's in their Sunday ads. This camera was $399.00 everywhere yesterday. I bought one this morning at an OD B&M.

There's a $20 off $75 coupon available which would bring the price down to $279.99 and they have free delivery.

I think a better deal is to buy the camera at officemax, use a $50 off $250 coupon and then PM to officedepot.
final price is $250 + tax. there is also a free 64MB smartmedia card via mail.

dentalboy: Which Nikon Coolpix are you comparing it to? If you are comparing it to the the Coolpix 775 (2.1MP most comparable to the D510) it is about on par. I would have to give the D510 a better review because of picture quality. However the Coolpix 775 is a bit smaller. The Olympus D510 is a point-and-shoot type digital camera, not a whole lot of options on it. The Coolpix 885 or 995 are way better compared to the D5100, but they are at a higher level in price and quality as well.

I bought this camera on a pricematch deal this past summer. It takes wonderful pictures. The flesh tones are natural looking and the bright colors are vibrant. It doesn't have a great deal of settings but for a general purpose non-professional camera it's a great piece of equpment. At shq setting I get about 44 pictures to a 64mb smartmedia card. I use nimh rechargeables. The prints I get from this and my Epson 880 are almost indistinguishable from film prints.

I have this camera and I'm very happy for the most part, but sometimes the pictures come out blurry for seemingly no reason... perhaps it's my fault as I'm far from an advanced photographer.

This is an awesome digital camera.
I had one for 6-months or so, you will not be disappointed.
Only reason I sold it was because I got the itch to buy one of those ultra-compacts.

Olympus is among the best.

OKay, as this is my first Amex Blue PM, let me see if I got this right:

1) buy the camera at my local shop (in this case Circuit City for $299) with Amex Blue
2) then go to IKO Digital and print out the page
3) then call Amex and fax the IKO page to...someone...
4) wait for approval? Get the PM difference removed from my Amex statement? this is where it gets a little hazy...

Using the Amex BVG, you need to be careful where you buy it from. According to the csr I talked with, Amex will not pricematch until after the stores price match period is over. If the store doesn't have a price match policy then there won't be any problem. But if you buy it from Staples you have to wait until after their 14 day price match policy is over.

Why couldn't you order it online for pickup at your local store. When you pick it up, show them that it is priced at $299.99 in their Sunday ad. They should then take $100.00 off the price.
