Amazon has the Olympus IS-5 Deluxe 35mm Autofocus 28-140mm SLR Camera on sale for $239.99 with free shipping. Some ppl mention it's not a SLR camera on Amazon. Anyway, it's a good camera, not everything needs to be digital.

I have one of these 35mm cameras and really like it. I've had it for almost a year and half now. However, it must be noted that it is an "All-in-One" SLR and not a true SLR. Since it is an all-in-one SLR, the lens on this camera is fixed and cannot be interchanged with other lenses. It is of course threaded to accept filters though. This is a great camera in between a point-and-shoot and true SLR categories. One of the advantages of the all-in-one SLR is that the lens is 28-140 (covering the standard 28-80 and some telephoto). Usually the lens you get with a true SLR is 28-80 and then you need to get a telephoto lens. The IS-5 Deluxe is good for both point-and-shoot automatic shoots, but also has manual controls and produces SLR-quality shots. This camera cannot be beaten for the price and the features! I believe that you might be able to find it a bit cheaper than Amazon...

If you don't really need the manual controls, the Olympus IS-50 QD is a step down from the IS-5 Deluxe and is currently $187.94 at Amazon. Other differences between the two models are:

IS-50 has a 28-120 mm 4.3X lens (Slightly less than the IS-5)
IS-50 does not have panorama mode.
IS-50 doesn't have manual controls.
