Hi all,
I bought the recent Kyphermedia cdrw ONLINE "Free after rebates" deal. I indeed saved to HD and/or printed applicable info.
The address for rebates were the same so I sent both with original UPC and copy UPC and photocopies of sales receipts.
First rebate for 40 or 45 (i dont recall exact amt) was rejected due to "store non participation" I went to OM with all documentation and manager agreed with me. OM re-entered rebate into system. Rebate became valid.
Rebate # 2 for 25.00 rejected due to "no sales receipt" Per rebeteshq instructions I faxed it to them (cover letter and all with rebate tracking #)
Still rejected due to same reason. I went to OM (second trip) with documentation. They again agreed and said they would correct it.
Still rejected. Today I scanned and sent rebateshq the 3rd incident of sales receipt, along with a letter informing them I have no problem sharing my experience with the state attorney generals where I live and where they do business.
I have 2 theories as to why it is such a hassle
#1) Seems like they are instructed to reject valid rebates hoping the people will not follow up or complain.
#2) People working there are morons and have trouble getting simple things right.
I suspect #1 is more in line with their internal agenda.
