Customers don't go into sonic drive-ins, they eat in their car or outside.

And how could a Sonic ban guns in the first place, being that most people don't get out of their cars.

My credit union has a sign that bans concealed carry, but never stopped me from going through the drive thru while carrying concealed.

You are right and in fact thats the same location as the other thread. I had meant to post the below but got messed up. Too bad you didn't notice it or you could of really chastised me!

So let's try this one.

Chicken wing restaurant robbed at gunpoint, police say.

http://downtownmadison.channel3000....en-wing-restaurant-robbed-gunpoint-police-say

.

Thanks for bumping the thread.
But this story doesn't say whether the restaurant allows or doesn't allow guns, so how can we argue over what the robbery proves?

Edit:
The owner of the establishment must have made a statement whether or not people in at least one of the following categories are welcome in order for the OP to be properly controversial:

Same-sex couples
People with guns
Believers of man-made climate change
Pro-choice on abortion
No higher taxes
Obamacare supporters
Birthers
Believers in the IRS scandal
Believers in the Benghazi scandal

I'm sure there are many more, but this is a first draft.

This is a ridiculous debate. Guns or no guns allowed, places that handle cash and perhaps also other valuable goods will always get robbed. Allowing guns is not blanket protection against robbery and other forms of crime.

Like, US cops have carried guns for how long now? Forever, yes? So people don't commit crimes then in the US I guess, cuz, you know, guns automatically immunize against robberies and shit like that, right?

Guns, guns, guns! They're so affectionate them little dearies, aren't they!

If you're a manager of a restaurant and a robber comes up to you and points a gun at you (as they are prone to do), is your first reaction to reach for the blunderbuss you got stashed away under the counter and hope that you have time to grab it, aim it and fire it at the badguy before he blows your face into shit, or just hand him the money, because the contents of a tiller isn't worth dying for?

If you're a CUSTOMER and the place is getting robbed, is your first reaction to grab yer shootin' iron and start blasting away - possibly missing the badguy and getting shot yourself, hitting an innocent bystander, or causing a bloodbath when the badguy retaliates by spraying wildly (because only in hollywood movies do the hero kill every badguy with one perfectly aimed bullet), or just let the badguy rip off the place because well, it's not your money being stolen in the first place now is it, and also because it's not worth risking the life and safety of yourself or others over some petty cash now is it.

You're only showing more stores with "No Firearms" signs being robbed. Thanks?

"Own myself once, shame on me. Own myself twice, shame on me." He is probably just foolishly making the assumption if the article doesn't explicitly mention it was a "no firearms" establishment.

Although the chicken restaurant article doesn't state it doesn't allow firearms, where did you get that info?

It seems like it doesn't matter whether or not you allow or ban guns...

If someone wants to rob your restaurant they will in either case.
