Greetings All.

I did a search and found nothing related to this post, do not flame if this is a repost. SKUs are in parentheses, "IR" = instant rebate (which is actually a coupon code directly on the flyer).

OfficeMax is having a Friends & Family day this Saturday (December 14th) in my market (it should be national). There are some decent electronics deals to be had.

HP Photosmart 7150 Printer (2018-8342) $150 - $50IR = $100 in-store with a $25GC available.
Brother MFC-3100 Color 4-in-1 (2005-7108) $170 - $50IR = $120
HP Deskjet 5550 (2018-8360) $150 - $50IR - $25GC = $75 net cost

Olympus C-4000 4MP 3x Optical Zoom Camera (2018-6889) = $500 - $100IR = $400
Canon A40 2MP Digital Camera (2016-9158) $250 - $50IR = $200
---> 256MB CF Card (2018-8761) $150 - $50IR = $100
---> 128MB CF Card (2017-3152) $80 - $30IR = $50
HP Scanjet 5500 Scanner (with Photo Auto-Feeder) (2021-0996) $300 - $100IR = $200

HP 513xb Computer Bundle
513x CPU, MX70 17" CRT Monitor, and 3820 Printer
$800 - $100IR = $700

Logitech Cordless Duo (KB + Mouse) (2021-0950) $100 - $50IR = $50
Fellowes 128 CD Album (0223-6592) $25 - $17IR = $8
Hi-Val CDR 50pk with Cases (2021-1673) $25 - $17IR = $8

All Chairs over $99.9 will have a $20 off coupon.

Duracell Ultra Batteries, But 1 Get 1 Free.

Plus a few other small items.

Again, this deal is ALWAYS YMMV. I do not guarantee the prices will be the same in all areas. You will need a flyer to get in on this deal (the store near me has these by the registers free for anyone to take). The coupon codes are printed right on the flyer for all of the instant discounts. Good luck to all and have a great holiday season !

Peace,
ChunkyBarf

Anyone use the cordles logitech setup? I'd like to see how you like it. If not I'll jest get the standard MS fodder. Thanks!

Yea my OM Canon A40 camera + free 64 CF is backordered. Called today and they said they'll cancel the order if it's not fulfilled within 7 days. I'm so pissed. Can I go pick it up instore even though the free CF deal card is over and I used the code online for $50 off?

sorry for the OT post but those are some good deals.

It's possible, I have done it and it worked ... for best results first you call your local OM explain that you want to buy the Canon PowerShot A40 online but can't because it's OUT OF STOCK ... ask if they have it in stock? If they say yes, then say GREAT, also ask them if you can use the OM.com $50 off $250 coupon in the store since the A40 is not available online? Chances are they will say yes, if they do write down their name and GO STRAIGHT TO OM B&M, do not wait. When you get there ask for the person you spoke with on the phone, grab your A40, show them the coupon and run.

The reviews I've seen say it ROCKS!!! Logitech's MX700 Quoted from PC WORLD Dec. Issue Page 78 "The optical engine tracks at 4.7 megapixels per second___about three times as fast as most optical mice affording smooth and precise cursor control, which can be particularly useful for graphics creation and GAME PLAY.

This is just one quote, I have been hereing nothing but great things about this mouse combo... 10 minutes of charge time can keed you goung all day and a 6 to 7 hour charge gets you 10 days of service .....It has a rapid recharger and battery combo..

My bad I thought you were talking about the MX700 not the Keyboard duo

HP 513xb Computer Bundle
513x CPU, MX70 17" CRT Monitor, and 3820 Printer
$800 - $100IR = $700

$250 in Rebates on This

Makes it pretty hot?

Description of it here

The $250 rebate will not work. The monitor and computer are sold in one box, already as a discounted package. The rebate only works for separate monitor and computer. This is similar to how walmart and sam's sell hp computers. Also the link to the desciption is a different computer, 513n, not 513x. The printer is in its own box.

Greatjaspy:
Yes, these deals are in-store only. The deals are actually only good with the flyer as well.

RossMan and Kantonburg:
The fine print on my flyer says "no other coupons or discounts" will be honored" so I do not think the $50 off $200 will work.

CherryBOMB:
I do not think the MX700 is included in the "Cordless Duo". I think you get one of their more "generic" optical, wireless mice.

Chucko:
You are correct. The rebate will not work on bundles. We discussed this same issue in the previous thread about F&F.

Happy Shopping Everyone !

HP Deskjet 5550 (2018-8360) $150 - $50IR - $25GC = $75 net cost

That is a good price for a great printer. Even better if you can sneak in Staples $20 off $100 coupon.
I have this printer and it's photo quality with glossy paper rival their photo printer (7150/7350/7550).
This is a 4800dpi printer.
OTOH, HP's printer ink is pretty expensive.

so has everyone been able to get this flyer or do you not really need one to get this stuff at those prices?

Chunky is correct, it is not the MX700. However, the Cordless Duo is still a nice setup; my wife has them on her PC and she likes it a lot. But she is not a gamer and I have never played any games with the setup. The mouse is the same exact shape as my Logi Dual Optical but only has one optical sensor. It is still real nice.

which printer is better... the HP DJ5550 or the HP PS7150???

I convinced my mom to get a new printer tomorrow and want to hear what others have to say about these 2 printers... mostly for standard use w/ the occasional printing of a photo.

TIA.

I walked into Officemax with a 50 off 200 coupon from Staples, and got me a Canon A40 for $250-50=$200.

Here's the interesting part:
The manager hassled me about the Staples coupon for a few seconds, but said, $200 is the sale price the camera's gonna be at next week anyway. I asked if he referred to the Friends and Family Sale, and he stated no, "The Canon A40 will be onsale for $200 next week."

Therefore next week's deal could be:

Canon A40
$200
-$50 (Staples Printable Coupon)
------
$150 + Tax

(I'm not gonna open my Canon until next week. Hopefully I can take it back in and get the price adjusted.)

Both printers are very similar they both offer the same print dpi. Although they have different features and are bundled with different ink cartridges. These printers take the No. 56 Black, No. 57 Color, and No. 58 Photo. The deskjet 5550 comes with the 56 black and the 57 color, and the 58 is an optional photo cartridge. The photosmart 7150 comes with the 58 photo and the 57 color, the black is optional. The 58 photo gives the printer true Photoret IV printing technology of 1.2 million color, fade resistance of upto 73 years with using HP Premium Plus paper and upto 4800 x 1200 dpi. You swap out the black 56 and photo 58 depending on what type of print jobs you are doing.

These printers hold only two cartridges, and come with a container to keep the spare in to prevent it from drying up. The photosmart 7150 comes with a photo tray for 4x6 paper, that way you don't swap out your papers, the 5550 doesn't offer this. The 5550 is faster and comes with the "better cartridges" for multipurpose printing and the occasional photo. That gift card would buy you the photo cartridge for even better photos as mentioned earlier. Sound like the 5550 would be better for you. Printers have equal quality (dpi and colors) when using the same cartridges, but the 5550 is faster for regular documents.

If you work for a computer retail, BB, OMAX, CC, etc. sign up on www.hpinfolab.com for hp product training and it would make the deal even sweeter. FREE

Also the 7150 has an extra usb port on the front for direct connection and printing with new hp digital cameras, 320, 620, 720, 812, and 850

Don't think it's gonna happen- if you go to OM's website, next week's ad is already posted... there's only a s200 w/ free CF card for 299

I'd still try to go in tomorrow during the F&F sale and get the price adjustment tho

the 7150 doesnt have a parallel port!!!! only usb. the 5550 has both parallel and usb. neither comes w/cables.

also, if you plan on printing lots of photos, the 7150 is a better deal because the photo catridge is $25 whereas the black ink is $20.
