The UPC shown is for the 512Mb DIMM not the 256Mb DIMM that's on sale. I noticed this when I bought it this morning and now have a copy of the OM store memo that cross-references SKUs with rebate info. The memo identifies the UPC error and says the correct UPC (761133828489) it will be honored. I can scan the memo if someone wants to post it. The last time something like this happened, I submitted the memo with the rebate paperwork just to avoid any potential hassles, and everything went ok.

Thanks, came here hoping to hear that. If you want to e-mail me the memo I can host, I'd also like to print it.

Easier Rebate, enter the info requested for the K-byte rebate and file it that way. The form on that site has the correct UPC number.
They've worked ok for me; however, my CD-RW is a Lite-On. Previously when I had a BENQ installed, it had problems w/ all sorts of cheapo media.Originally posted by: Biel
Are the "ValuDisc" CDR's any good? Anyone have any idea who these are made by?
I checked out the Lifetime Warranty and it would appear that OMAX is the one who guarantees it.

Easierrebates.com has the wrong rebate for the $20 from Kbyte online. It reads as follows:
Rebate Check : $20.00
Terms:
Limit one (1) Rebate per item.
Copy of UPC's and receipts are acceptable.
Submissions must be postmarked within 14 days after purchase date.
Kingston KVR-PC2100DDR/256, UPC=740617067934 is the only acceptable substitute.
Good on purchases between 6/1/03 & 7/5/03 in Contiguous US; between 6/8/03 & 7/12/03 in Alaska and Hawaii; between 6/15/03 & 7/19/03 in Puerto Rico and the VI.
Valid ONLY at OfficeMax.
Also, the Officemax $20 rebate calls for what was a yellow stick UPC over the Kbyte UPC on the stick of memory I bought at a local B&M store. Since the Kbyte rebate is incorrect, I'm sending both UPCs in and not giving them the option of denying it for an incorrect UPC.

Edit: This RAM has its own thread.
Edit again: Now that I think about it, the register only printed 1 "rebate receipt" so something's amiss.

How is that incorrect ? When you do the lookup on easierebate, you get 2 hits (rebates). The top one is the manufacturer's and the bottom one is OM's. Both are for UPC=761133828489 (under "Valid UPC(s):" which is correct for the PC2100 unit. OM will let you use a Kingston part as a substitute for the rebate but obviously K-byte won't. What UPC do you have ?

Damn, looks like the only coupons available right now are 150+ ones. That sucks. Guess it's no go after all. I don't have any USB printer cable any way and that would cost me another $30.

No Sam's Club here in Oregon. And all these electronics and office stores like Circuit City or Staples ect have USB printer cables at $30 a pop.
