Because of the above post, I wasted my two hours today only to buy this phone at 49.99 + tax at Chicago (Evanston). They had a few in stock ,,, and the Item searc for #20434665 indicated that it was 49.99. Still I went ahead and checked it out .... hoping that probably the discount would show during scanning. .... well nothing at all ... I'll go ahead and return it tomorrow (I didn't do it today because the officemax guy spent 10 minutes looking for this phone for me).

The $10 discount is still valid ... since it is the same phone as specified on the rebate form ..... BUT WHAT A BUMMER!

Bring in a printout of the Back2School sales flyer showing the aformentioned sale price. Some users at FW were successful in getting their OMAX B&M's to PM to the flyer. Others were successful in getting OMAX.COM to PM to that flyer as well.

P.S. I don't recall if it's in B2S-A or B2S-B; however, it's on the FRONT PAGE of the flyer, right-hand column, around the middle of the page.

The online rebate form for the Cendyne does not mention need to register it. Last time this happened with a different item, I didn't register it, and when Parago denied the rebate for not registering, I just called and told them that the online submission form didn't mention registration. They then validated the rebate on the spot.

Just a heads-up -- My order came in about half an hour ago. The CenDyne, PCash (WD, CD-RW, KHypermedia CD-R's), and ECash (phone) all require the original recipt. Only the WD-MFR rebate doesn't require the original recipt. I bought online, so I have two delivery center recipts (pink, yellow). What do I do about this lack of recipts? I'm guessing I sent the original to CenDyne, and just one original to one of the two OM rebates and a copy to the other.

I have *ALWAYS* made photocopies of the Officemax.com packing list/invoice and sent those, and *NEVER* had a problem. The other thing you can do is print out your invoice online (though you'll notice the invoice number is one digit less than the pink copy).

I got tired of waiting for the hard drive (2 days) I went to my local officemax and explained the situation about getting the rebates in on a timely manner. They agreed to give me $30 off my purchase ($30 of 150 online coupon) for the hard drive purchase at the store. I just had to bring in my printout of my online purchase showing the $30 discount coupon. I came home with a $127 HD after tax before rebates. Then I canceled my online order. Maybe that will bump one of you guys up in line for the backordered drive. I don't know if this is policy or I just got ahold of a nice person. Thanks for the deal Diggler

hmmm so I received my Cendyne 52x internal today and have trouble identifying who's the maker of the drive.

On the back of the box is a sticker that says Model # CW 5205.
Serial # AKC170f2535020439

I know it's not a liteon (cuz of the alphanumeric in the serial and no LTN), just wonder if it's a benq/acer/or whatever rebadges they do.

edit: it's an ACER prolly cuz of the 10 digit serial # or something
